  1. Thank you for saying that! I needed to read or hear someone say, when you are full stop eating! I'm thinking oh it's just broth and I need to drink all 6 oz. I have to forget the past of clearing my plate and stop when I'm full or feeling bloated. Thank you again!!!
  2. Can we over eat with this surgery? I feel sooo full after the broth and water I'm afraid my stomach is too tight and I'm over eating. Still no poop! Maybe I need to add miralax to my water. This boating feeling is no good! What do y'all think?
  3. So cool! Thanks for sharing. I've had 4 oz of protein shake for breakfast, 6 oz warm chicken broth and sugar free popsicle for snack. I can't believe I'm keeping it down!! I do feel bloated so I plan to walk later before I drink 4 oz of water. Drink, drink, drink!
  4. I have been craving avocado! Just a piece, with a little salt, little pepper and maybe just maybe a squeeze of lemon juice. Ugh!! When do you guys head on to purées/mushies? LOL, stop thinking that way!! We must stay focused and get as much weight off as possible during this stage. Sooo I'm the little voice in your head saying, "You will lose 10 pounds this week!" Say it with me????????
  5. I have days just didn't tell anyone at work why I was out. Just called in sick. I feel good enough to get back so I want to do so as soon as possible to try to deal with my challenges of snacking with co-workers throughout the day. Enjoy your time off!!
  6. My doctor said no tomato soup because of the acid. You might want to stay away from that one until the first 21 days have passed. Only one more day home until I'm back to work on Tuesday. When is everyone else going back to work?
  7. Guess what?!?! I drank the SlimFast and feel like a new person!!!! Amazing what the protein can do for healing and energy!!
  8. Thought everyone might enjoy:)
  9. Thanks so much for sharing!! I'll definitely get the slim fast drinks today. I agree protein is the key and just adding to warm broth is not gonna cut it each and every day. Knowing my body, I'm planning to get a little cardio in today. Since the intake is under control my output must increase to maximize weight loss during the first 21 days of liquids. I'm guessing a goal of 2000 steps is reasonable. My Fitbit will keep me on track with that. Let's keep sharing and helping each other! So glad we are in this together!! I'll check back in mid day or tonight. Happy Sunday!!
  10. Welcome to our group! As you guys can see I'm awake as my incisions are causing discomfort. Still have not made it through the night without pain meds to help relieve the gas pressure. Elsalvador7, sounds like gas. My doctor encouraged Gas X strips as many as I want to help relieve the pressure. The strips dissolve on your tongue. Also, I found walking while sipping really helps to burp or pass gas. I was excited the first time I passed gas LOL.
  11. I have not made an attempt to mix a protein shake yet because of all of the bubbles. That scares me. Still adding it to chicken broth. Keep doing it. We are here to motivate each other!
  12. What about swelling around the mid section? I'm noticing it's still very swollen. Anyone else? Also, ate a sugar free Popsicle today!! Go me to get it all down and keeping it down!!!
  13. Nutritionist text me back and said I should be taking Vitamins now. The delay can cause hair, muscle, and bone loss. He also suggested investing in WeightWatchers scale with gives weight, body fat, Water weight, and bone weight. He said it's the best way to monitor all at once. Anyone doing anything different?
  14. I was just wondering if anyone else could see any changes in the amount of times they urinate per day. From the time surgery was over, I went to urinate at least every 2hours or so. Now 4 days later I'm not going as much. Also, has anyone had a BM yet? I have not.
  15. I walked up the stairs to take our puppy to his kennel. Bad idea for sure!! Now I know to tell people NOT to go up or down stairs the first week after surgery. All about learning what we can and cannot do.
  16. I'm down 12 pounds since 2/9. Absolutely amazing. Hey, when should we start taking our Vitamins? I'm thinking people experience hair loss when they lack the nutrition. What do y'all think?
  17. Anyone been on the scale yet? I'm nervous and thinking I'll do it next Tuesday.
  18. I agree it may have been too hot. Keep stirring it with a spoon and it will dissolve.
  19. I have no idea how you are getting so much liquid down, but that's awesome! We are doing well!!
  20. Sounds like a plan! I'm still adding protein to warm chicken broth and I really do feel better. Day 3 is my best morning yet!!
  21. I use it in chicken broth. I kept stirring until it dissolved.
  22. Originally I wanted the balloon, but my doctor and nurses talked me out of it. They claimed the feeling of feeling full all the time would not work for me because u can't take anything for relieving the full feeling. Good luck with it. Reviews are positive when researching it!!
  23. On day two post surgery. Inbox me and we can chat daily. I only told a limited few as well!
  24. I've also found if I'm drinking to walk. I burp soon after which makes me feel better. I'm also using Gas X strips to help as well. Scars are so noticeable especially the big one on the side. Tummy is swollen pretty good too. I plan to go back to work on Monday. My goal is to get in 1000 steps tomorrow. So far I will walk around the house, sit in a chair, then back to bed and sleep. So far worth it. No feelings of hunger at all!!!
