    3rd fill

    Thanks guys! i live about 4 hours from my surgeon so he says he's trying to be a little more aggresive with my fills so maybe i don't need to come back so often. this is the first fill that i've actually felt something. they say not to chug water but sometimes i forget and do it, especially while working out...and today i can finally not do it without gagging myself...so maybe this is a good sign =)

    i have a 14cc band and had my 3rd fill yesterday. i am now up to 9cc. i think i finally feel some sort of restriction...finally! has anyone ever got up to their band size and still didn't feel total restriction? that kinda scares me...
  3. my blood pressure was really low in the hospital and they sent me home with my meds...i kept taking them and my blood pressure stayed really low. my pcp had me only take half the dose...still stayed low...went off all of them now i'm in the normal range...so within 2 weeks i was off all meds! so for sure see the doctor that prescribes you the meds... but yes i did not have high blood pressure when i left the hospital so it can happen! =)

    ladies..

    does anyone feel like they can't stop eating during their TOM? I've read on here where alot of people get really tight but i'm quite the opposite...i feel like i could eat all day long and eat anything and everything...i've been banded for almost 8 weeks, and i've had one fill. i was craving a hamburger the other day so i ate it...all of it...if you think about it, it's probably more than a cup...i didn't feel full...however i felt super guilty...is this thing going to get tighter? or is it just because i hit my TOM....i wasn't really like this before...i've been eating what i should and counting protein and staying away from all the "bad" food...but right now i want to eat everything i see!

    So i downloaded the podcast...you never said it was free! that makes it even better! i really liked it!! it was alot easier to change my speed when told rather than trying to pay attention to how long i have been running. thanks for the tip!

    Exercise DVD'S

    there's a pilates fat burning workout that's really good...it's a hard workout...about 35 min. you use pilates techniques but you stand the whole time and do more of an aerobics type workout

    June Exercise Challenge

    so far so good! i really like the challenge of commiting to something and getting it done! it's getting quite hot and humid here and my treadmill and bike are in the garage so it's getting quite difficult to get through the workouts! with it being so hot i've had to start doing the treadmill first and then the bike..i found that if i do the bike and then the treadmill i get way to fatigued and can't do much on the treadmill. good luck guys...keep up the hard work =)

    June Exercise Challenge

    Thanks for the invite Salsa! this will be my first exercise challenge so i'm not exactly sure what to commit to. my first instinct is to do "treadmill miles" so i will commit to 60 treadmill miles for the month of june!

    What we need for hospital stay?

    i brought my own slippers...i dont like the gripper sock things. i brought my own pillow. i forgot chapstick and i was dying! i brought my laptap, which has my itunes on it...i left it running all night so it drowned out most of the noise coming from the hall. alot of people really really like pushing the call button and in the middle of the night they must not have as many nurses on staff or something because some of them would go on and on and on so i was very thankful for the laptop! the hospital had wireless internet so that helped too...i couldn't really concentrate on anything for very long though...i brought a book and never touched it.

    i work at wells fargo...have uhc choice plus...super duper easy...but my bmi was over 40...i had more things to fulfill for my doctor than the insurance. once the doc submitted to the ins it took about 3 days to be approved. there's a 2k out of pocket maximum so that's pretty much what you can expect to pay

    Low Blood Pressure Question

    my blood pressure was super low while in the hospital...once i got out it went up a bit but still very low...i kept getting light headed...my pcp put me on half the meds...still having problems...so within 2 weeks of surgery i was off my meds and now have normal blood pressure! no more bp meds...yay!

    Heel Pain

    i used to have heel pain too...got quite a few cortisone injections in the bottom of my foot...ouch!...but so helpful! i havn't felt it since i actually started exercising regularly and losing weight. i would say go to a podiatrist and get it checked out.

    Migraines

    have you tried going to the chiropractor? i started getting them all of a sudden last summer...i went to my reg doctor...he tried different drugs...nothing. so he reffered me to a neurologist...different drugs and an mri...nothing. i noticed when i pushed on a part of my neck when i was having one it hurt way worse...so i figured why not go to a chiropractor...worked! i didn't go for almost 2 months and i got one on monday so tuesday i made an appt! went last night...feel so much better...way more relaxed and stuff. so if you havn't...give a chiropractor a try... also i must say, they're not all the same...the 1st one i went to didn't do a darn thing for me so i found another one and went to him and i love him!! different techniques and stuff and works awesome. so if one doesn't work for you try atleast 1 more.

    can't get motivated.

    about once a week i have to "talk" myself in going to exercise but once i'm doing it i love it and afterwards i feel so good! and i feel so proud of what i accomplished! take measurements of different parts of your body and then remeasure in 4 weeks....you'll be amazed at what "falls" off. i lose about 1 lb a week but the amount of inches i lose is amazing and that's enough to keep me going when sometimes i feel my weightloss is less than what i anticipated! Bottom Line...YOU JUST GOTTA DO IT!
