    (((((TESS))))) My dh does things sort of like that, too.......and then says, "I forgot you can't eat that..." SERIOUSLY.....You FORGOT? My dh CAN stand to loose about fifty pounds. He's got a doctor's appointment tomorrow, I hope she gives him hell and tells him that..... It's so frustrating, I feel your pain! I had to pick up the donuts for work on Saturday. FIVE DOZEN HOT DONUTS in my car.....smelled like a little bit of heaven. I didn't have one, though!

Got these in an email from powders?utm_source=BariatricPal&utm_medium=Affiliate&utm_campaign=CommentLink" target="_ad" data-id="1" >unjury today: UNJURY Protein pumpkin pudding (Please see comments at bottom) Ingredients 1 Package (1.4 oz) sugar-free vanilla Jell-O Instant Pudding Mix * 3/4 Cup Water 2 scoops Vanilla UNJURY® 2 tbsp canned pumpkin (not pumpkin pie mix) 1/2-1 tsp teaspoon pumpkin pie spice Measure 3/4 cup cold water (package directions calls for 2 cups milk) Add two scoops of Vanilla UNJURY to the 3/4 cup of water Mix thoroughly the dry UNJURY in water by shaking or stirring Next, follow pudding package directions. Empty the Jell-O sugar free Instant (Not Cooked) Dry Pudding Mix into a bowl. Add pumpkin pie spice to dry pudding mix Blend spice and dry pudding mix thoroughly with a fork Pour in the previously-mixed UNJURY-and-water. Add 2 tbsp canned pumpkin Stir/Beat until thoroughly mixed (a wire whisk or mixer works best) Place in small container and chill in the fridge. Top with 1 Tablespoon Fat-Free Cool Whip. Enjoy!     Question about life after surgery

    I do this a lot at home.....there is a pomegranite flavor that is really good mixed with vodka.... I'll just order a jack rocks when out.....takes me a while to finish it.... Like others said, you will find your tolerance for alcohol has likely changed. Test drive it at home, you don't want to be out and find out three drinks is one too many. I've cut my drinking in at least half since I was banded....just not worth the empty calories....AND I WANT TO GET TO GOAL!

    I'm not buying ANY Halloween candy....we're going over to a friend's house for chili and game night, so won't be home for trick or treaters....Caitlin is old enough to drive herself to the store if she wants candy....so it's just best it's not here! I've managed at work so far with just one fun sized packet of Skittles....they weren't even that good, so I think I'll make it the rest of the week!

  8. All I can say is that I had a VERY similar incident yesterday.....we were at the grocery store and they just opened a section in the bakery with artisan bread....YUMMO. The baker was adorable and just kept cutting little pieces of bread off of the different loaves for us to try. I kept thinking that it was going down ok, so Just kept taking bites....... THEN....went home and had dinner....EVERYTHING immediately stuck. It was my worst episode EVER....I shall spare you the details, but suffice to say I looked like a rabid dog...... Lesson learned.....bread doesn't work......and yes, I have heard that a million times before, but guess I had to figure it out on my own!

    My doc says no carbonation.....ever. I'm sticking with that. I do miss my Diet Coke, but I'll survive.....better for me anyway. I've heard several different reasons why, but "because I said so" is good enough for me.....paid a lot of money for this, so I'll just follow what the doc tells me................most of the time.

    ((((Christine))))) Have you talked to your surgeon's office? Do they have an RN or a case manager that you could discuss the symptoms with? That just sounds miserable......so sorry you're going through this. Hope you're able to find some relief SOON!

    Back from my weekend in Vegas....full of misbehavior....not the food kind though! We seriously ate three times the whole weekend! I've never danced so much in my life! It was glorious! I actually came home and had lost four pounds! I did great on Friday, but somehow on Saturday...the shots of Patron kept calling my name....I did stifle it though and woke up Sunday without a hangover, just dog-ass tired! I am a Silpada Designs rep.......if you're unfamiliar, it's an exquisite line of sterling silver jewelry....a couple of years ago I bought the most gorgeous sterling and pearl watch....and it never fit right. Too tight and just looked silly...I was upset because one, it was expensive...and two, I just loved it! I've noticed my rings are loose, so I decided to try the watch yesterday....AND IT FIT PERFECTLY....hung right at the top of my hand like it's supposed to! Soooooooooo......I have an ass the size of Texas, but my wrists are NORMAL........ Victory comes with winning small battles.....and I'll take a well-fitting wristwatch as a WIN!

    Progress Pics, Anyone?

    My daughter and I spent the day at the zoo and took a couple of pictures....sometimes it takes a picture to really see the difference....for good or for bad! The first on is me, last May, with Jake Shimabukuro....one of my favorite musicians..... This one is today, with my daughter.....I'm down a total of 50 pounds since the pic last May!

    Keeping it a secret?

    For the record, I've told everyone....friends, family, co-workers...and they have been nothing but supportive. It can work out to be a positive thing, I have a GREAT support system.....and that really helps me in times I am struggling a little....just a gentle "but look how far you've come, don't get discouraged" means everything to me! Everyone has to choose their own path, but this one is sure working for me!

    I got these recipes in an email from unjury the other day, Christine.....haven't tried them yet, but they sound good! Cinnamon Caramel coffee Ingredients: 1 scoop Unflavored UNJURY 1 cup Water 4 tsp General Foods International sugar free French vanilla Café 2 tsp Sugar Free Caramel Syrup 1/8 tsp Cinnamon Directions: -Measure 4 tsp General Foods International Sugar Free French Vanilla Café into a shaker -In a separate cup measure water and heat in microwave (below 130 degrees) -Add warm water to General Foods International Sugar Free French Vanilla Café and stir -Add 1 scoop Unflavored UNJURY to shaker and shake until dissolved -Add 2 tsp Sugar Free Caramel Syrup to shaker and stir until combined -Add 1/8 tsp cinnamon and stir Nutrition Facts: 110 calories 20 grams Protein 2 grams carbohydrate 2 grams sugar Variations For a richer, sweeter taste try 1 scoop of Vanilla UNJURY in place of Unflavored UNJURY (this will add 20 calories, 4 grams of carbohydrate and 3 grams of sugar) Are you a coffee lover? Try adding 1 tsp of instant coffee (regular or decaf) Ideas from UNJURY customers chocolate Java 1 scoop Chocolate UNJURY 8 oz Coffee (regular or decaf) 1 tsp Cocoa powder Café Mocha 1 scoop Chocolate UNJURY 8 oz Milk Coffee (regular or decaf) to taste

General food International vanilla Cafe power 2 T pumpkin 1/4 t. pumpkin pie spice 1 1/2 c hot Water 1 scoop unflavored unjury..... I swirl it in my magic bullet so it's foamy.... Creamier and much more 'starbuck-ish" __________________

    Pumpkin Spice Latte

    This is a yummy fall drink: (I didn't have vanilla unjury, so I used a full cup of vanilla soymilk and a scoop of unflavored protein) pumpkin Spice Latte Ingredients: 1 scoop Vanilla UNJURY 1 tablespoon Canned Pumpkin (not pumpkin pie filling) ¼ teaspoon Apple Pie Spice (cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice) ½ cup Skim Milk1, Lactose Free Milk, Soy Milk2, Rice Milk3 2 teaspoons Splenda or Equal (add more or less to adjust sweetness) ½ cup Water 1 teaspoon Instant coffee (decaf) Directions: -Heat water in microwave (below 130 degrees) then mix in instant coffee Add: -Coffee (as prepared above), milk, canned pumpkin, Vanilla UNJURY, apple pie spice and sweetener in blender -Blend until combined (about 30 seconds) -Heat in microwave until warm or serve over ice Fun Extras: -Serve with a cinnamon stick -Top with 1 tablespoon of cool-whip (sugar free or regular) and sprinkle with Apple Pie Spice Nutrition Facts: 150 calories 24 grams Protein 11 grams carbohydrate 9.5 grams sugar 1 To increase calories use 1%, 2% or whole milk. Protein does not change. 2 Soy milk may increase carbohydrates and sugars, be sure to check the nutrition information. 3 Rice milk may decrease protein and increase carbohydrates and sugars, be sure to check the nutrition information.
