  1. I love Premier but when I had the lapband- I bought raspberry & orange extracts to add to the shakes just to change it up. I'm now waiting for revision surgery and plan on doing the same again
  2. For all you out there that have had the revision surgery, how long were you in the hospital for? Any feedback would be great - I've had my band in since 2008 - with the first surgery, they tried to send me home that day but I was too nauseous to walk so I spent the night. Just wondering what the average stay is for the "revisions"
  3. I got approved!! My date is 2/4. Now the wait begins!!
  4. Amber- I have a revision date on 2/4 as well. Maybe we can compare notes afterwards
  5. I was wondering the same thing as I wait for my revision - I don't want to gain the weight back like I did with the band.
  6. It seems to me like the surgeons want to get rid of the band so they are willing to do the conversion
  7. I was denied today!! I called to find out why and they said it's because the hospital does not qualify with Cigna for Bariatric Surgery so now we have to re-submit to see if they will approve it. My surgeons office said they always have problems with Cigna
  8. Good luck!! I think you will be very happy
  9. Congrats on the quick response. I'm feeling so frustrated because of the complications I'm having with the band, I feel like I should qualify quickly. The fact that they sent out the letter requiring more info is frustrating. Is this your first surgery or revision surgery
  10. I'm in Massachusetts. I feel like we are going through the exact same waiting game
  11. Yes but when the band has good restriction, it's hard for some people to digest protein
  12. Have you heard anything yet? What state are you in?
  13. I have Cigna too! We submitted the paperwork after the 90 day requirement and I was so excited waiting for the approval ( revision surgery) but instead got a letter that they want more info from the surgeon about the medical necessity. I read all the requirements which I meet them all
  14. You are lucky they approved you so quickly.
  15. I have Cigna and am waiting for approval for revision surgery. I qualify with my BMI and did their 90 day requirement but they now want more info from my surgeon. It's frustrating because I'm so ready to get this scheduled and I did everything that was required!
  16. Now I'm worried!!! The surgeon sent in my paperwork to Cigna and they sent a letter that they want more info - AND - they mentioned about me qualifying for an outpatient procedure. There is no way I can be "outpatient" - with the original surgery I had to stay overnight because I was too sick to go home the same day - With revision - the surgeon said to expect 2 days. I'm hoping that I don't have to go through the appeal process. I've done everything they required!! So upset
  17. Well. I received a letter from Cigna today- they want more info from the surgeon as to why the revision is medically necessary!!! I just spent 3 months going through ALL their requirements!! So upset!
  18. I'm going through the stages of having revision surgery - my nutritionist has been emphasizing that after I get sleeved - I have to do "high protein" - low-carb. They have me following the plan now as a "pre-op" diet although I'm still waiting for approval
  19. Keeping my fingers crossed - paperwork is being submitted today!!
  20. How long did you have the band before it was removed. Had you had many issues with it during all that time?
  21. Good to know. My son will be studying abroad and i have a friend taking my dog for a few days. i planned on 4 days - 2 while in the hospital and the first 2 days I come home. I'm hoping by day 5 I'll be ok enough to take care of the dog. Shes puppy pad trained so it's not a huge deal if I cant walk her
  22. During the 2 weeks - how were you feeling?
  23. I'm hoping when I go from band to sleeve that I'll be too full from the protein to have room for anything else
  24. I had Tufts back in 2008 when I had the lapband After the 6 months they require it was approved and it was smooth sailing. They were great!
