  1. I had my sleeve done Tuesday before last. The incision where the tummy was pulled out is unbelievably painful. I can't bend, squat... and there is a huge knot if I press in the area... any ideas what is causing this... the pain has gotten worse and my surgeon is out till Monday after next.
  2. I had the band for 7 years, and I had trouble the past year. Bloating, nausea, never felt well. I have gained 20 lbs and my skin is shiny it's so tight on my hands and stomach.
  3. I am in the 3 month waiting period as my stomach was in really bad shape, Doc said it didnt even look like a stomach. It took him over 3 hours just to find the band and get it out of the mess it was in. The problem is....anything I eat swells up my stomach, it gets huge, and my stomach always hurts, and the gas is unreal. Has anyone else experienced this?
  4. Sooooooo.....My surgery was bumped up to November 18th, which was about 3 weeks ago. My condition worsened and my dr didnt think it was safe to wait. The surgery ended up taking over 3 hours just to locate and detach the band from my stomach. I am told the surgery took a turn for the worse when my vitals began to drop. Long story short, he was not able to do the sleeve. So now I wait. He said we can start over in January.....I am not sure how my insurance will look at this mess, it was initially approved. Its been a long 3 weeks.
  5. Thank you so much for the encouragement! I am so worried about not losing again. It's good to hear that so many people do so well.
  6. Hi, I saw my Dr Monday, an upper GI confirmed that my band has slipped and my pouch I'd dilated. I am assuming that my insurance is going to cover the repair/ and revision to the sleeve. I decided to wait until Dec 16th due to schedule issues. I can eat some, but I stay nauseous and have incredible heartburn. I've been reading post for several days, but I don't see many people with slippage. I found that odd. Thanks for letting me in. I need lots of support. Lol I was banded in 2008 and have lost 135 lbs. I regained the 35, but I have it under conrtol. I am not losing now. Even with really low calorie intake. scales just not moving.
