  1. I get the nausea when I eat too much also
  2. I have Cigna. I knew the "revision" surgery I wanted was covered but when the paperwork was submitted it was denied. I called and found out that the denial was only because they wanted it done at a different hospital so we re- submitted the paperwork. It was approved immediately and my surgery was 5 months ago. Good luck

    Depressing 4th of July

The good news is that once you start eating these foods again - you are going to realize that you don't love them that much anymore
  4. I say " go for it!!"
  5. I had the revision in 1 surgery and the recovery was very easy. Yes the weight loss is slower. I do have acid reflux at night but I can take an over the counter acid reducer and I'm fine. If I eat that 1 bite too much, I get nauseous. The sleeve helps you feel full not stuck like the band I'm happy just to have that thing out of me. Good luck to you.
  6. . It's interesting that you're not getting any emails because when I logon on my computer I was getting an error message saying that my email address was not valid and emails were getting returned but my nothing has changed and I get other emails which doesn't make sense. So happy that your daughters doing better keep us posted

    Chewing question

I have to chew food thoroughly with the sleeve just as I did with the band as long as I eat slow then there are no problems. If I eat a little too fast then I end up running for the bathroom
  8. Change it up a bit. Buy different flavor yogurts ( I love Dannon light and fit Greek yogurt) and soups
  9. I find if I log my food in My Fitness Pal , eat healthy and exercise I do well. When I don't log, I tend to go off track and then don't lose weight.

    Food progression?

I had the same surgeon, same post op. He also does not make us do a liquid diet pre op
  11. It's possible you might have eaten too much. I get nauseous if I've had a little too much at a meal

    Water with meals ?

It can push the food through which can allow you to eat more. I can drink right up until I eat but wait 30 minutes after

    Touch of the stomach bug

Stick with what your doing and get your fluids in. If it's still bad in a couple more days, I would call the surgeon

    Occasional indulging!

I've given in to the occasional craving and then I don't want it anymore. I waited for my sons birthday which was 3 months after surgery and had my cupcake. I'll eat a cheeseburger without any bread - I keep saying I'll put it on a sandwich thin but I can't even finish the burger. I'll treAt myself during special occasions but just have a little to satisfy. I did give into Lays Stack Chips at 2 months post op because I reAlly craved them and have no desire to eat them since

    Out patient or not

I stayed the night but I didn't get into my room until about 7:00 pm and was discharged by 9:30am the next day. I lucked out that my roommate had the sleeve and was there for a tummy tuck so we talked a lot in between our naps
  16. I say get it!! I had the revision in February. Recovery was easy and since we've already been through it before, I already knew what to do and expect. Just happy to get the band out before any serious complications. And with the sleeve, I feel "full" not stuck. Just go for it!! Good luck ????????
  17. My vitamin d was very high too!! I'm sitting in the waiting room of my PCP waiting for my physical. Not sure how I'm going to get blood work. You have to fast for it and I'm at work every am
  18. Swamp doggie- I think we were sleeved around the same time. I feel your pain. I too have been slipping somewhat and I'm aggravated with myself. I'm still losing but very slow. I need to exercise but I've been so busy at work I haven't had time. Only in my days off - I'll walk the track first thing in the am but I'm working 6 days this week. Now that my son took off for the summer I'm hoping I can get back on track.
  19. I was taking B12 and my blood work at my 3 month follow up showed my B12 levels were too high. I started taking Coconut Oil - I bite into the pill and swallow the oil - then spit out the coating. It does seem to give me more energy. I've also noticed that if I eat more thAn I should at a meal, I get really tired afterwards

    Tortilla or Bread?

I have no problems with bread unfortunately. It's easier to digest if toasted and eaten slow. As far as the meat, if you cut it up in a salad or eat it with cooked veggies, it helps to digest it easier That's what I had to do with my band and still do with my sleeve. Especially if the meat is dry
  21. Nope!! You get so full that you don't care about finishing your meal or snacks. If you want something "bad" you can have it. It might not settle too well with your new stomach - it's all trial & error. But as you start losing weight in the beginning, you probably won't want to do anything to mess that up. But don't deny yourself either. As time goes on you will see what is best for you
  22. Haven't seen you post in awhile- how is your daughter doing?
  23. I have Cigna. Since I was approved for sleeve surgery my hernia repair was covered but I don't think they approve the opposite
  24. What has your diet consisted of so far?
  25. What are you eating? I agree that you might need to increase your calories
