    Optifast Side Effects

Have told to the boy to get rid of the lollies. That should do the trick!

    Struggling with OptiFast!

7KG in 12 days is sensational!!! I was hoping for about 5kgs in the 13 days I will do optifast before surgery but now I'm thinking it will be more like 2 or 3kg. Better than nothing though!

    Optifast Side Effects

Oh now I'm sad that no-one has commented on MY poo breath Maybe the Optifast isn't working that well for me? I've been on it for 4 days and aside from a handful of lollies every now and then (whoops!) I've been totally faithful to Opti and I've only lost 900g! I have, however had the same "No. 2" problem (pun intended) as you soriminah! No probs with constipation here!

    Perth people, where are you?

I called Doc Watson in mid January and was given the initial consult on Feb 19. About a week after I called I sent him an email to find out how long it would take for a surgery date and he offered to book right away. Because my partner is getting banded with me we couldn't get the both of us in together until March 19. Very exciting! Were private patients and its costing us $1950 each in gap.

    What did you pay

Mine is costing $1950 out of pocket (HBF private health cover) including the anaethatiest. Fills have a gap of about $40. Doc Watson says he charges a gap to prevent people coming in every week to be adjusted. Fair enough!

    Pre-Optifast diet

Hi Peek, I'm sort of in the same boat as you - got about 6 weeks till surgery but thinking of easing my way into the Optifast full time. I bought some chocolate opti today and will start replacing one meal - probably lunch or dinner I think and see how I go. Anyone got favourite flavours?

    Perth people, where are you?

Well disappointing news - emailed Doc Watson to confirm the feb 27 date was for both me and my partner but he said he couldn't fit both of us in till Mar 19th - even separately. So a bit longer of a wait now. We're bitterly disappointed but know our time will come.

Yes I see the benefit, should give it our all from the beginning! Where do you buy Optifast from? The chemist?

    Perth people, where are you?

Well I emailed Dr Watson to ask what the wait time was for surgery after the initial consultation (feb 19) and he has pencilled us in for Feb 29th! WOW! If the Optifast makes a difference then we'll suck it up and go for it!

Really? So there's hope to avoiding the Optifast? Awesome!

    Perth people, where are you?

Hi All, My partner and I both want to get lap band surgery. We have an appointment to see Dr Watson on Feb 19. Have been doing a LOT of reading on the net and we're very excited about. I lost a bunch of weight doing weight watchers but have put 2/3rds of it back on in the last 12 months. Tired of this yoyo crap and being depressed about how I look. The boy is super supportive and as keen to get it done himself - although he "only" wants to lose about 35kgs (I want to lose about 50kgs). Hope that we can get it done together. Not looking forward to the Optifast but looking forward to not being scared to try on last years bathers!
