  1. I am addicted to Diet Coke. I had one in the mornings before I could get dressed even. My legs and feet were swelling so much from the sodium that I couldn't even get my shoes on. The Dr. told me to cut out the sodium. I totally stopped drinking Diet Coke about a month ago. However, I could not stay awake during the day because of the lack of caffine. Since I don't like coffee I had to find something for the caffine to take instead of Diet Coke. The pharmacist recommended No Doz because No Doz is 100% caffine. So far one 200 mg of No Doz has been working to keep me going during the day. I hope this might help someone else.
  2. Thanks so much for your candid and frank post. I just started the journey and my stats are very close to yours. Your post was very encouraging to me. Thanks again.
  3. I am just starting the process for the sleeve surgery. It has been recommended to me by my Dr. I am around 400 lbs +/-. I have no idea because I don't have a scales that goes that high. So far I am healthy other than I can not walk very much without getting winded or my back hurting. So when I go grocery shopping or whatever I have to lean on a cart to keep my back from hurting. Obviously, I don't shop much especially if it entails a lot of walking. I do not exercise either so I am pretty weak. I have my first seminar and Dr. appt on Jan. 13th. I have the support from everyone in my family with the exception of my husband. So far he is refusing to go to the seminar with me or to even be receptive to the idea of me having the surgery. In 40 years of being very happily married I have never gone against his wishes. I wonder if anyone else has met with this problem and how you handled it? I am not sure I am strong enough to go against him and get the surgery without his support. I had a hysterectomy about 4 1/2 years ago and they almost lost me on the table and I know that is what he is thinking now so I understand his situation. But if I don't do something fast about my weight I could die from a heart attack too. Anyway, if anyone has had this problem please let me know how you handled it.
