5 days to go... am starting to get a little more nervous. Not about the surgery, I've had several (though no abdominal). Just the whole "new life" thing.
It's going to be great!-
I'm kinda mourning things that just won't have a place in my life anymore... honey buns mainly. I mean, I know I'll be able to have them again someday, but there's nothing nutritionally redeeming about them. And I have no self control.... if I bring home a box, I'll eat the whole thing in the span of 2-3 days. They're not part of a celebration for anything, I just love the sticky sweetness.

1 week post-op diet down, approx 5 lbs lost, 1 week to go

I long for the days when one could give nutritionally sound, WLS friendly dietary alternatives without getting smacked down by another member who prefers to pass out permission to eat junk food.

Made it through the weekend on the pre-op diet without mucking it up too badly.

a few weeks ago I bought a pair of size 12 dress pants because they were on clearance. they were a couple of inches away from fastening/zipping. today they fastened/zipped easily. don't look quite right yet, but within the next couple of weeks I suspect they will. I haven't worn that size in a very long time. guess I better put them in the queue to be hemmed up!
