Yep, Prevacid 30mg (Lansoprazole) is what I'm on. I decided to keep taking it after my H. Pylori treatment because it was helping SO much with my constant indigestion. Good to hear you heard the same thing

Interestingggg

No clue. Never taken Midol. Advil/ibuprofen has been the only thing to kill off the cramps. I know it can all change after surgery. I'm just curious if anyone else has been told that an NSAID was OK to take as long as they're on a PPI.

That's awesome!!!

Please folks...I'm not hear for a lecture. I'm just reporting what my surgeon's office told me was OK and I'm curious if anyone else's surgeon said the same. I haven't had surgery yet.
OK so....I emailed my surgeon the other day and asked what NON-NSAID pain relief can they prescribe for period cramps (in case Tylenol ends up not working for me) when the time comes because my cramps are pretty brutal for maybe 2 days max. She said they rarely do that BUT, as long as I stay on Prevacid after surgery, taking a couple Advil per month should be safe and fine. Has anyone else been told this and ended up getting an ulcer anyway? Thanks for your feedback!!!

I'm Anthem BCBS and my plan requires 6 dietician visits. My last one is May 1st so after that, I'll have more info to give about the experience.

Same with me. Told it was required which is cool. The EGD helped me hit my insurance deductible LOL

My primary care told me the report said h pylori. i called the office of the clinic where i see my sergeon. They told me they will talk to me about it on the 1st of April. I wonder why they are waiting to treat it.
Wonder why they waited to test for H. Pylori after surgery? It can contribute to ulcers.

I meant to come back here and post on my experience with Takeda's patient assistance program, but totally forgot. SO...it's absolutely fantastic! Within days of applying, they shipped me 270 days of medication for free Thank you again for suggesting this. You pretty much helped saved my world!

I think it depends on your surgeon. How long have you been on antibiotics?

It's not really shrinking your liver itself...it's the fat around it

All done! The psych eval went really well and it was very quick (about 20 minutes), but we had a nice chat. All he asked was how long have I been overweight, are there others in my family with weight issues, do I have other health issues, what have I tried in the past, how do I think surgery will affect my life, stuff like that...other than those things, it was a relatively short, positive conversation. He said after he writes up his report he'll provide the clearance. Woot! Easy peasy.
Edit: I did have a true/false questionnaire that I filled out ahead of time. It was 165 questions. Your surgeon may not use this, but at least it'll give you an idea what you could expect as far as the line of questioning. Here's the file.

42 minutes ago, PALOMABELLA said:I dont get it. As my understanding u say in your post that your surgeon uses this thermosmooth procedure. You also say that you trying to find info on it with 0 results. And you say you never heard of this before and you dont know anything about it... Then all of a sudden your Conversation changes and you know all about the procedue. You even put a website here and you have knowledge on what your saying. You explain it detail by detail. You even explain how it works n how long it takes n how many sessions nessesary. But i thought you said you couldnt find any info on it. Then you go on to say "We are able to tighten and firm loose skin" so you do know about this procedure and your promoting it. Is that it. Because you confused me here with two diff. Stories. Sorry im not here to offend no one i just want to know whats the deal.
Sent from my LGMS210 using BariatricPal mobile appThe BP forums, at the time, had no info on ThermiSmooth. No one at the time had posted about it. I hadnโt researched it either. I was reading my surgeons site, saw it, copied and pasted the basic info into my post and was curious about otherโs possible experience with it. I was sharing info I had just learned. Iโm not promoting anything no more than people talk about their skin removal surgery. Chill out, lady. Geez. Not that big a deal. ๐
