I love fivefinger shoes. However, the really light and flexible ones are neither for cold nor wet conditions. I think their ballerinas are adorable.

3rd times a charm!
I'm having revision to RNY as well (plus hiatoplastic and gastropexia). I'm going in on February 25th. I was satisfied with the MGB for over three years until my hernia came back.

No revision or push for revision
The problem with GERD is - there can be very serious longterm complications because of it as well. Deciding for revision is tough. How much damage to the esophagus did the EGD show? On how many anti-reflux meds are you now? Do you wake up in the middle of the night? Does the reflux bother you during daytime as well? These are all things that need to be taken into the equation when deciding for revision.

Oh, I'm wearing only "sensible" shoes as well. Usually barefoot shoes or shoes with a 0 mm heal drop, even if they're a bit more cushioned than a barefoot shoe (e. g. Inov8, Altra, Merrell, Vivobarefoot, Vibram). A heal drop of 6 mm already feels like a kind of heal to me (I have some trekking shoes with this kind of heal drop, it seems to be impossible to get one with a 0 or 3 mm).- Stomach stretching
I've only heard of strictures treated, sorry. You weren't very heavy to begin with, a BMI of 35. On top of this you've lost weight quite fast. What does your nutritionist say? The gastroenterologist? How do the labs run, including vitamin panels? How bad is the liver function already? During my last hospital stay for adhesiolysis I've seen patients admitted to receive TPN because they were malnourished and dehydrated since they couldn't eat enough (still very overweight but anyway).- OOTD
Watches are not for time reading anymore, duh!! (For that we have cell phones, ROFL.) Watches are jewelry. ?- When did you decide it was time for a revision?
So your weight is at about 200 lbs now? Why do you believe that you can't back to where you were and stay there? If you think that it's too soon for revision, then well... it's too soon for a revision! No, seriously... if you're not experiencing symptoms like e .g. serious reflux it's really hard to decide when it's time for a revision or if a revision makes any sense at all. There is always the risk of another surgery and results regarding additional weight loss or losing regained weight can be quite poor depending on the procedure.- OOTD
Ok, maybe watches are more of a guy's thing? (Flash your watches here, please!) I own more than one Holzkern watch though and several of their bracelets. I have a Suunto watch for sports but that's definitely not a watch I would wear like jewelry.- OOTD
So... anyone into... Watches?- How many years after surgery could you eat a plate of spaghetti without feeling nauseous?
That might be exactly how my husband feels about tempeh.- Judgment Free Zone
I've blocked quite a few people over the years and guess what? The absolute majority of them is gone by now anyway.- OOTD

So... who else here is into... Shoes?- How many years after surgery could you eat a plate of spaghetti without feeling nauseous?
I actually like the more "chewy" texture better than that of real pasta, lol.- OOTD
That's exactly what I think as well! ?- OOTD
The Parkas are both waterproof. Down/Primaloft and GoreTex. They're definitely lightweight compared to their size but not packable. They need room. Maybe you want to invest money in simply a GoreTex shell and size it up so you can layer? I got a bit tired of layering so I wanted something that goes down to the knees and doesn't require wearing more than a light sweater and jeans beneath even in colder conditions. Plus I wanted something that looks more urban style.- OOTD
I've waited for a 25% discount and got both the Patera and Centrale. ? They have awesome clothes IMO but one definitely has to wait for a discount, lol. What coat do you wanna get?- OOTD

Regarding the "sitting heavy in the stomach" you might not be happier with them. They contain quite a bit of protein. I personally like the Explore brand (in fact that's the only brand of bean pasta I like, screw the rest).- 2020 Vets Updates
Hiatoplastic, gastropexia with part of the teres ligament and a second anastomosis which will be kind of an RNY one. I hope you're doing fine?- 2020 Vets Updates
I've scheduled my revision for 26th February. Hopefully things will go as I plan.- THE SLOW LOSERS CLUB SUPPORT THREAD
There is no definition of "slow loser". If you're satisfied with your weight everything's fine.- How many years after surgery could you eat a plate of spaghetti without feeling nauseous?
One month post-op is quite early. You'll run into intolerances that might vanish into thin air just a couple of weeks later. Take it slowly with introducing new foods. Plate of spaghetti? Depends on the size of the plate of course, lol. Pasta or other more complex carbohydrates never make be dump. - OOTD
