  1. Ah no, that's bell pepper, carrots, zucchini, shiitake and brown mushrooms in there.
  2. I've cooked. So I'm proud. Rice in the rice cooker (was out of frozen), vegetables and mock chicken strips with a sate sauce.
  3. Part of dinner. Some Bratwurst that had to go (bb 30th September ?)
  4. Yes, it's a Marmite sandwich. Not sure if it's the same as Vegemite. I think it's called like that in Australia? Or is it something different?
  5. For all the brits (you know what this is):
  6. Seriously, I've made a list in my mind with four categories. 1 - gotten more expensive but buying it anyway because basic stuff 2 - was always expensive but buying it anyway because healthy and convenient and therefore helping getting the good stuff in (looking right there at you fruit cups and salad bowls!) 3 - was always expensive, is not necessary or healthy but buying it occasionally because yum! (chocolate covered Elisenlebkuchen anyone?) 4 - crossed the line of "ridiculously expensive" and is a no-go outside of sales
  7. Pre-cut salad that had to go with extra leftover bell pepper and red onion rings and dressing. Open faced tuna sandwich. Craved it hard so I got a glass of the stuff - but the price has become ridiculous so outside of sales: nope. Some price tags for food really have crossed a border. I mean... more than 4 Euro for a little glass of a plant-based imitation of tuna fish??? Pfft...

Since some people liked the post in case someone is interested in this kind of pants and/or also in mini skirts that look like jeans skirts: the brand is "crazy" (watch out for sales because their prices match the brand's name).
  9. Vegan "Currywurstbrötchen" with onions.
  10. We got some snow in Germany last evening. Therefore some hot and spicy soup today.

I usually don't post here but today I wanted to show my husband my new pants that look like skinny jeans but are really soft and stretchy pants (which makes them more comfortable to wear, especially with boots). Forgot to set a proper time delay - but I somehow like this picture. ?
  12. I was so glad when I found the Gouda's Glorie sauce! Most of the cheese-imitating stuff is so damn vile...
  13. Because we have a "no food shaming" rule on this thread:
  14. Whipped up something with peanut-coconut-sauce and frozen/reheated red sticky rice:
  15. The balls look exactly like "Quarkbällchen".
  16. Send them over. I like my doughy foods on the dense site. ?
  17. The VeHappy cheeze is bomb. It melts and browns on relatively dry surfaces (in fact it needs a relatively dry surface or it just gets runny and I thought that the sauce might be too moist already but luckily it wasn't). It's perfect as a topping for pizza, toasts and casseroles. Usually vegan cheezes need moisture to get even remotely good. VeHappy is a store brand. Alas, not every store carries it and I've never seen it online (luckily me favorite melty burger/sandwich slices are available online). I have to buy it when I'm visiting my husband in the North of Germany.
  18. Cleaning out the freezer, fridge and shelves again: browned mock minced meat, green beans, red onion and mushroom mix out of my freezer, red lentil penne and tomato sauce out of the shelf and the rest of the VeHappy cheese out of the fridge.
  19. They look kind of similar as it seems. ?
  20. What consistency do these biscuits have? Are they crispy? Squishy? Dense or more light on the inside? Enlighten an ignorant European, please. ?
  21. Coffee, scrambled tofu with red onions and green beans and a raisin bun (thawed and toasted), partly with peanut butter.
  22. Super-ugly, extra-yummie vegan burger:
  23. Depends. People take leftovers with them frequently here as well, e. g. from pizzas in boxes. Also poke bowls etc. Not sure how common that really is in Germany but when you ask for a box no one bats an eye.
  24. Ok, the last one looks like a big portion to me. I'd either have the salad or the burger/fries thing. What I sometimes do at restaurants when they have fancy desserts and appetizers that I order an appetizer and a dessert. Most people I go out to eat with wouldn't order a three course meal (though it depends on the restaurant's portions sizes of course) as most say it's too much in one sitting. It's different if it's a long evening and the course are quite a bit apart.
