  1. I'm one month post op and I have none! My experience with the pre op diet wasn't bad. It was for one week with 2 shakes and a healthy meal. My night in the hospital wasn't too bad either. Pain was managed with drugs! I had no gas pains in my shoulder fortunately. Just some discomfort which a heating pad helped. Overall my experience has been great! I feel great! I'm losing weight and I'm off my meds! Best decision ever! #noregrets

  2. I had my one month follow up with my surgeon today! Wow I can't believe it's been a month! He said I've done a great job and released me to workout and onto regular foods!

I'm down 24lbs from surgery date! I haven't measured myself but my clothes are looser.

He gave me a goal of losing another 25lbs in 8 weeks. I know I can do that!!

I asked him what I could do to move things along and he said to workout / exercise more often. Honestly I haven't done any walking other than for work or grocery shopping. So getting to the gym and on a regular exercise routine I should see better results! Not that I'm not happy with my results so far!

This is the best decision I've ever made. My blood pressure is back to normal range! I'm off my cholesterol medicine!

Looking forward to feeling even better than I do now and being Fit and Fabulous!!

Keep up the good work everyone!

I do have a question about starting on regular foods. Does anyone have any suggestions on what I should be trying ? I already eat fish, chicken, beef. I want to try different things.

Can I have bacon?? Mmmm bacon

  3. I'm single and am waiting to date until after I've reached my goal. I haven't hold many people about my surgery (5/2). I do think that I'll wait to see if the man I'm with had potential to be someone long term. Scars I'm not worried about. They usually don't ask. Lol. I had a lump removed from my right breast which left a nice scar. Never heard a comment. So don't worry about that stuff. Your confidence will be so high after you reach goal. You'll know who to tell and who not to. But know your worth being with someone who won't judge you.

  4. I had surgery on 5/2 ! Yay! I'm feeling great!

I have a BBQ I'm attending on Sunday and will be on regular food.

What do you recommend for me to eat? I'm thinking chicken and veggies will be my go to.

    What about potato salad?

This will definitely be a test. I would usually drink wine and beer and graze on everything. I'll be changing my habits.

I haven't told anyone about surgery. But am open to it if they ask.

There is a pool, so I think I'll plan on being in the pool or laying on a lounge chair soaking in the sun.

    Your suggestions are greatly appreciated!

    Thanks ;)

  5. I've been on soft foods for a week. I have another week to go. Then regular food. I need some variety. Please let me know your successful meals on soft foods.

I see my surgeon for my 1 month appointment on June 1st. He wanted me to lose 10 more pounds. I've lost 5 lbs.

Need ideas on how to get rid of the next 5 in a week. I've been in this stall for 2 weeks.

I get in 60g minimum of Protein and 64 oz of liquids.

    Thanks. :)

  6. Thanks everyone! She doesn't read about the surgery, doesn't watch any videos and isn't on this forum. I honestly dont think she could have gotten this far without me. But you are right. I'm focusing on myself. It's my journey and I plan on being successful!! I mentioned that frozen yogurt even though sugar free wasn't a good choice and she didn't know why. I can't keep trying to educate her. I'll just educate by being an example of how to do this right.

My time as a caterpillar has expired. My wings are ready!

  7. I'm worried about her because she's not getting in her 60g of Protein and 64 oz of Water. And she told me she had some sugar free frozen yogurt the other night.

    I'm following our surgeon/nut instructions to a T.

I try to keep on top of her.

What are the downfalls of this? How can I get her to understand?

She has 2 other friends who had gastric sleeve and they've lost over 100lbs.

I don't know them or how their journey was.

We had surgery in May 2nd.

Obviously she's losing weight but I'm worried about the long run.
