Lots of changes:
Dislike: Pasta, melted cheese on casseroles, rice, any low sugar products
meat has become very inconsistent. I typically stick to white fish or shrimp. I can eat tofu too. Absolutely no chicken unless it is ground up or in a soup- it will make me sick. Beef is not something I really enjoy anymore.
I find myself in love with certain foods for a few days then I don't want them for a long time.

I puked quite a bit pretty regularly. Now, I really don't puke but I struggle to get 1,200 calories a day and I'm 2 months out.

I couldn't drink milk at first and these saved me. I really like the grape. The lemonade is pretty good. The fruit punch is blue and HORRIBLE!
Interested in the peach. I will try that next!

I had terrible nausea and foaming vomiting. It was awful. Mine got better and in hindsight, it was ok. At the time, it seemed like the end of the world.
Keep your head up!

I am 2 weeks out. It is a slow process at first. I will say this. As I am not hungry all the time, I do not want food. I miss the social aspect of going out to eat and eating a huge plate of food! However, I've never felt so free from my obsession with food. It is now turning to a focus on my health.
I do not regret this at all.

I just drank my first nectar Roadside Lemonade made with Water. It was awesome! I too am having an issue with even the thought of a milky protien drink. (I am 2 weeks post op).

My husband and I switched doctors and we can't be happier. This is a major life choice and we think we want the best support system available. Best of luck

It is really hard having family disapprove. I understand that it is only out of concern for me. However, I feel like part of the reason I'm doing this is because I'm sick of being criticized. I guess it doesn't matter if you are criticized either way, I'll do what makes me happy.
I'm just amazed how insensitive people who don't have weight problems can be. Having a high metabolism doesn't make a person the expert in weight loss. Eating well and working out is different for everyone. If it was easy for me, I wouldn't be planning the surgery.
I just wish people would ask questions without being condescending. It just hurts.

I'm having the same concern. I am still pre op. However, I got some stevia drops and plain Jello. I'm going to try to work some magic and make my own. I spend a whole year fake sugar free and I don't want to go back now.

Help!
I spent the last year getting off of aspartame. I know this is helpful because I no longer drink diet soda and soda will not be an option, so that is great.
I am told for Snacks I can have sugar free ice pops and sugar free Jello. Has anyone found a natural alternative to crappy sugar free products that are compliant?
Any suggestions are great.
(I am preparing to start my pre op diet.)
Thanks!
