Today is one year from having surgery. I'm so happy that I did it, just wish I could have done it sooner. Down 67 pounds and only 8 away from goal!! Starting weight 215, day of surgery 200, current 148.

Friday is the day, can't believe it is finally here. The last couple of weeks have been stressful getting the medical clearance. Had to see a cardiologist and pulmonologist, had to have an echocardigram, a ct scan, and a EBUS (endobronchial ultrasound). All tests are negative so surgery is still on schedule.

So nervous but excited at the same time

This process has taken me about a year and have had my surgery scheduled for about a month. Got the verbal approval today over the phone. Only a couple people know so no one to share the good news with. So excited! Surgery scheduled for Friday September 2nd ☺

I just went through the antibiotic treatment and it is tough but I found if I took the pills exactly at the same time everyday and followed by a probiotic a couple hours later it was manageable. Unfortunately it doesn't help the taste though. Good luck

I kind of feel the same way.. I know I have done everything that was asked of me and there is no reason to deny but we all worry about that rejection. I try not to think negative and have faith that I will be approved..

I have my last NUT appt Monday and everything else is done so they should be submitting to the insurance company soon after. I started this journey the end of last year and have a surgery date for September 2nd. So nervous about the approval though.

Well this is something new, haven't heard this before. Been post menopause for about 5 years. At least I won't be surprised or worried if I get one but hope not :/

YAY. .. congratulations! I have two more visits with the NUT, and then the anxious wait for the insurance to decide yes or no. Good luck on your surgery

I have my 2nd of 6 visits on 3/15. I know it will be here before I know it but 5 months seems so far away right now. Also concerned about going through the six month process and the insurance company denying the surgery. Good luck to all.
