  1. This is really interesting....I have been low on Vit D for over a year. My Dr hasn't been too worried but I will definitely be upping my intake for the next while as I prepare for surgery!
  2. If you are self paying I'd recommend at least looking into Mexico
  3. Have you had any skin removal? Those abs ....holy!
  4. To not be embarrassed all the freaking time. To not spend half my time in public worrying about getting up from the chair/couch/floor without making a scene. To shop in "regular stores" To take the stairs and not feel like I'm going to pass out after a single flight. To fly without a seatbelt extender. To save a ton on groceries and eating out (and put that towards new clothes ????) To be happier!
  5. Your nut or dr should have given you a list of what you could have. I'd ask them as everyone is different
  6. I haven't told a soul other than my husband! It's not that I want it to be a secret forever but at this point I don't feel anyone needs to know about my health. Down the road I am sure questions will start coming and at that point I will assess the situation and person and determine how I want to move forward at that point.
  7. I have about 100 pairs of shoes so I really hope my size doesn't change...my husband will lose his mind if I need to buy all new shoes
  8. Are all you ladies getting excited? Now that it's February we are all technically having our surgery "next month"
  9. I love the Premier Protein pre-made shakes from costco. They are great straight up or mixed with some ice and fruit. I'm also waiting on my shipment of
  10. Id love to join the FB page. I'll message my email
  11. I was really worried about having the conversation with my PCP but he was great about my plans to go to Mexico. He gave me a standing order for the lab so that I can go in every month for blood work and he will call me if there are any issues. I will need to go regularly for blood work as I already have low Iron and B12 levels....so I'm incredibly happy that he was completely on board and supportive. That's another thing off the list! Dr selected. Date picked. Flights booked. PCP on board. Now it's time to mentally prepare myself and prepare the house with everything I need for pre-op and post-op. Hurry up March 18th!
  12. You guys are fantastic! Thank you!! We are taking a trip soon and as soon as we get home I start my 3 week pre-op diet and then off to Mexico for my surgery so I want to ensure I have everything listed and am prepared for pre-op and post-op
  13. I am trying to make a list of things I will need the first few weeks post op. What did you find you needed most?
  14. Do you think it's possible to lose 30 pounds in about 30 days pre-op? I'm starting quite high (370).
  15. Thanks for sharing! I'm booked with Dr A in mid March
  16. You guys are all amazing. Holy geese this gives me motivation!!
  17. What I'm doing to prepare is obsessing over it. Lol. But seriously, I'm trying to do some shopping for pre and post op needs now as I'm soon off to Hawaii for 2 weeks and then start my pre op dirt as soon as I get home. I'm nervous but excited!
  18. In seeing him a week after you! Yikes! You poor thing! Two surgeries in a month?! Make sure you take good care of yourself!
  19. Thanks everyone! My surgery is booked and I will have about 9 weeks to recover before my trip. In super exited for both! ????
  20. @@bb8 you are so right, why is this surgery so different then other surgeries with perceptions and stigmas and judgement. It's kinda crazy to think about that way. I hate that "people" in general are so judgemental.
  21. All of you are absolutely amazing and make me SUPER excited to get my journey started!!
  22. I just booked for March 18th. EEEEEK!!
