  2. I guess I'm an occasional lurker. I had surgery almost 6 months ago on May 4th. The first month was really hard but once I got back on solid foods I haven't had any problems. My initial start weight at consultation was 270 pounds. Day of surgery I was about 248. Today I am at 185 pounds a total loss of 85 pounds! I think the weight loss has finally slowed down a bit since I haven't lost anything for about 3 weeks or so. I am enjoying the new ways I eat. I eat a lot of Protein as suggested by the doctor. I haven't had any problems eating anything. Right now chicken, fish, and turkey are the main things I eat with a vegetable side. Still working hard to get down to goal weight which is between 160 and 165. I am so glad I did this. Sent from my SM-N910V using the BariatricPal App

  5. I'm almost a month post surgery and my husband keeps saying don't get too skinny. I told him if he didn't like it let me know and I will gladly get someone who does. I didn't do this for him anyway and I keep reminding him of that. Keep getting to your goal and whatever happens it will be for the best. You will have people that support you and the one person you want to be there for you may not see that they want to be. That's their loss. Sent from my SM-N910V using the BariatricPal App
  6. I didn't think the gas would ever go away but it did by about day 6 for me. Hang in there it gets better. Drink warm drinks and maybe warm showers. That helped me. Walking too! Sent from my SM-N910V using the BariatricPal App
