  1. I'm sure you are anxious but look how long you've waited!! You have came this far and soon all this waiting will be worth it! Stay strong! Any day now!!
  2. Glad you are back on the mend.
  3. Wow...so excited for you Bloomer!!! And glad to see you are keeping a little more food down Molly!
  4. Hi Molly...hopefully u will feel better soon and be able to keep your meds down. Take it easy and rest
  5. Glad you're doing OK! Update as you can
  6. Saw the nutrionist today....as of Jan 14 I have lost 29 lbs!!
  7. I'm seeing Dr. Wheeler. Just had my endoscopy yesterday...my first visit with nutritionist is tomorrow....have to do 6 months of visits before my insurance will give final approval. I'm sure it will go fast....I've done all my bloodwork but the thiamine one....next is stress test. Passing my time with doctor appointments... I also have to lose 50 lbs before Dr wheeler will do surgery because my bmi is over 65.
  8. that's where I'm from Perk who was your surgeon?
  9. Thank you @@glitter eyes . that gives me hope I am on 225 MCG right now. But my tsh blood work came back high so I'm sure she's going to raise the meds. @my2siamese. Thank you. I have already had one visit with nutritionist had my sleep study and all the blood work but one. I've met with my surgeon and fcp once as well. 5 more months of visits and a few more tests and hopefully I will be ready to go!! So looking forward to it and the journey
  10. I've lost 8 lbs since my initial visit on Jan 14. I'm in the 6 month phase for final approval from insurance. The surgeon told me up front that my BMI was too high and I would have to lose at least 50 lbs before he would do the surgery.
  11. I have hypothyroidism and am seeking to do the sleeve. I'm right now going through my 6 month approval process for insurance. I know that with my thyroid issues it will be hard making the weight come off. Just wanting to know if anyone here has went through the surgery with this condition and if so how have you been handling it.
  12. @MsB7. I'm not sure about it. My insurance is requiring the 6 months so I'm sure it is 180 days. Either way in hoping it puts my surgery date somewhere in or around August or September.
  13. Awesome @@J.lynn. Wishing you all the best!
  14. . I'm also going through the 6 month supervised diet for insurance. I started mine on January 14 2016. Good luck. I hope our time passes quickly!
  15. Just wondering if anyone has had to have a blood clot filter put in prior to surgery? I have no history of blood clots myself...but a family history of them. Wondering if that was maybe a precaution for those of those that are on the larger end of the scale?
  16. I have Dr. Wheeler in Ashland for the surgery. He said that he wouldn't do the surgery on me unless he put one in. That scares me more than the surgery itself honestly. I've never had an issue with blood clots..I had gallbladder surgery about 10 years ago and was fine with it. I know this surgery is much more serious than that but I don't really know the reasoning behind putting one in if there's no history of blood clots with me....unless it falls back on family history maybe and its more of a precaution? Molly...I understand the whole obsessed....I've been obsessed with it since I had my first visit. I know its going to be life altering and I cannot wait to be able to lose some of this weight so I can feel better and know that I'm so much healthier! Good luck on your liquid diet...your surgery date will be here before you know it!
  17. I had the first appointment with my surgeon Monday. He has required me to lose 50lbs within the 6 month insurance wait. I had lost 8 since the 16 (9days) so at least I'm going the right direction. He has also said that I would have to have a blood clot filter put in before he would do the surgery. Has anyone else had to have this put in? Or told that they would have to?
  18. I had my first visit on the 13 as well. I have to follow up with 6 months of nutrition visits and WL supervision for my insurance to fully approve it...will put my surgery around end of July or august I guess. So nervous and so excited at the same time!
  19. . My doctor rarely does a bypass anymore... They have such a huge success with the sleeve. I guess it all depends on the surgeon.
  20. I had united through employer...but had a clause of no bariatric surgery coverage. I would have had to appeal.
  21. Im having mine done in Ashland. I will be seeing Dr. Wheeler. Yesterday was my FIRST appointment. I'm so excited but nervous at the same time. I'm starting my 6 month process for my insurance, which will put my surgery somewhere around July. Looking forward to getting started on this journey!
