i know they did tell us at the preop appt that if you have any food in your stomach the day of the surgery then they would close you back up and postpone the sugery. our pre-op diet is 2 Protein shakes and a small meal until two days before surgery... then its 3 Protein Shakes. we are allowed to have sugar free pudding, Jello or popsicles in between. I'm not sure what your pre-op diet is, but I would just try to follow it as closely as can. No one wants to risk the chance of being cancelled. Good Luck!!

hey all. i've been mia for a while due to some insurance snags i havne't had my surgery YET... but Friday I started my pre-op diet and Wednesday I have a pre-op appointment with Dr. Wheeler to set up my surgery date. It's soooo close now! I hope everyone is doing good. I tried to go back and look at everyone's progress. You all are doing amazing!! I will write more Wednesday when I get the date for sure! I have a frog above my ankle and a pink skull on my right foot. My brother have me both of those, he passed away in 2012. last Wednesday 6/8/16 I got a new tattoo. One to honor him. A pic of a heart with wings he had drawn that I found after his death. It took me this long to get it because I wanted to find someone that would do it justice and I finally did. I agree with the fact that you may not be eating enough. Your body may be holding on to that weight because it thinks you are starving. I would talk to your doctor about increasing your calories a little more and see if that helps. We all lose weight at a different pace You've not failed! You've got this!

hi everyone. Hope this finds everyone well. Been busy doing life stuff @@MollyF22 , @@Bloomer723 and @@Tssiemer1 Hope all your after surgery days are going well. June will be my last month of Family doctor visits and July will end my Nutruition visits. So close.. yet so far away. Close enough to feel anxious though. I've lost 88 lbs since my initial visit on January 14. still so much more to go to reach the goal i've set for myself. 202 lbs to be exact. Can't wait to get all this off and get on with my life. Yes I have pcos and thyroid issues..type 2 diabetes and sleep apnea. I have taken metformin for about 4 years. I'm on the 750 extended release once a day. The metformin never helped me lose any weight but I know it has helped some. Good luck on your journey. If you have any questions don't hesitate to ask. the people on this board are awesome!! I got rid of carbonated drinks and all carbs except fruits vegetables and dairy. And increased my Protein and Water intake. I had to lose at least 60 lbs in my 6 months. Since Jan 14 I've lost 53....just by taking those things out. I would suggest what @@Inner Surfer Girl suggested. It worked for me. Sent from my N9520 using the BariatricPal App

@@Bloomer723 process is going good. Down 53 pounds since jan 14. Had a bad stress test though...will see cardiac doctor on 13 to see what it said actually. Hoping its something that can be taken care of and doesn't cancel my surgery. My FCP said it may be something simple and may just postpone not cancel. Thanks for the nice comment...I'm really trying to make this change work. How's things going with u? I bet you're excited to be so close to surgery date!!

Just got back from appointment with nutritionist....lost another 12 lbs for month of February. Total loss is 42 lbs since January!! 3 more visits to go!!

Had my 2nd month PCP visit today...so far I am down 37.4 lbs since Jan 14. Only 13 more to go and I've reached Dr.Wheeler's goal to proceed with surgery...well after the 6 months is up for insurance requirement.
