For people flying back home with 3 hours or more flight -- how did you do it?

I mean did you get yourselves a wheelchair for the airport?

Did you walk around in the plane often? I am concerned about all the fatigue, the pain, I will be and how I will survive my fly back home :(

I am going with BeLite Wight scheduled for 2/16 in Juarez with Dr. Jose Rodriguez Villarreal and Dr. Elmo Aramburo

Anyone have any experience with them??

I had to fly from San Diego to Miami and then to St Thomas. After the 4th day you are pretty good actually. No problems walking around. Definitely don't need anything like a wheelchair. For me the pain was about 4 /10 and I also had my gall bladder removed at the same time which was apparently a more painful recovery than the straight sleeve surgery. Just be careful and go slow! Take a walk up and down the aisle every 30 mins or 1 hour on the plane just to keep the blood pumping. Good luck!

  2. Hey fellow Aussies :) I am looking to get sleeved in the next few months. But I will be heading to Mexico for it. The surgeons there are world class and it's amazingly cheap compared to AU. I spend half my time in the US as my husband is American so since I will already be there... why not! I looked at some clinics over here but the price nearly gave me a heart attack! Even with top cover health insurance at $400 a month, times that by 2 years (12 month waiting and 12 month post op services ) and you're already at $10k before you pay for the surgery which is another $5 - $7k out of pocket so $15k+!!

I am so excited and wish I could have done this 2 decades ago.

  3. Hey guys I have a weird (but maybe not so weird?) question... I have a 6 month old baby and still breastfeeding. I've read that having the surgery is fine etc but what I am worried about is whether they would let us have our baby with us. My husband would come with me so he would take full baby duty and I will have plenty of stored milk etc for her but I don't want to go 4 or 5 days without her, and if I can't take her then my husband has to look after her by himself which means I go to Mexico alone, which isn't something that I would want to do. Is it weird to want to bring your infant? Does any particular clinic cater to this at all? Angeles Hospital doesn't (already checked) but I had already decided against them as their surgeon doesn't have the best reviews despite being classed as in the top ten weight loss surgeons worldwide.
