Weak and shakey....still
It still happens to me too. It did today. I know why though, it's hot and I get busy and forget to drink and eat. I have now eaten and taken a cool shower and have my feet up. I can't let myself do this anymore. Can you think of any reason it may be happening to you?

Need some encouragement

I needs hugs today
Well that's a sucky day! If it were me I'd rent a good movie and lose myself for a couple of hours. Or nap! Hope you're feeling better.

Sadness in waves
It's only not like it used to be for a while. I'm only 4 weeks out and I feel nearly normal. I don't even want to eat the way I used to anymore. Drinking is a different issue. You won't be able to drink for a while ( most surgeons say between 6 months to a year ). If you don't care about drinking then you can easily still go have fun with your friends. Also, you're in the toughest part right now. The pre op diet was much harder for me than post op. Still, prepare yourself for a couple weeks of laying low after surgery. Hope you feel better!

Purées!
I've eaten a hard boiled egg but I prefer to mash it up with my fork and add some mayo.

Peas/Avacado
I eat avocados but not peas. I just mush them up with a fork.

No Longer "Obese"
I took photos the day before surgery. I had on a sports bra and pj bottoms. I don't think I had really looked at my body in a very long time. It broke my heart and shocked me. I am taking pics tomorrow which will be four weeks out. I don't think there will be a big difference but I'm going to do it every month along with measuring myself. It was advice given to me by someone on here and I'm glad I took it even though it was painful to see myself.

Did anyone HATE water post op?
I am so over yogurt! I haven't had one in over a week. I did eat a ton the first couple of weeks though.

Guy problems
I hadn't even considered that you hairy beasts would need your belly shaved. Itchy! Suffer through or keep shaving are the only options I guess. I feel for you!

Surgery day questions
I had to argue with them about a pregnancy test. I haven't had a period in three years AND I'm a lesbian. I only had to be there two hours before and had all my preop blood work done the week before. Other than the pregnancy test I don't recall them doing any other tests, just the usual vitals.

Sf pudding gives me a stomach ache and is like a laxative for me. Tread carefully [emoji16]

Purées!
Hopefully by the time you get there you'll be excited to eat something. An egg never tasted so good!

When, if ever, do you stop feeling like a fat person?
When I lost 70 lbs and was a size 10 I still looked for clothes on the plus size racks. In my head I was still a size 22. It took a while to feel like a regular size person. I maintained that weight loss for over three years and then my thyroid died and the weight piled on again. I wonder how long it'll take me to not feel like a fat girl when I lose the weight this time. Maybe you could talk to someone about it. You've been through a huge change.

Purées!

Vitamins
I could start them when I could tolerate them. So I started at five days post op. I take centrum chewable multivitamins 2x a day Bariatric advantage chocolate chewable calcium (500) 2x a day Vitamin B12 (500) sublingual 1x a day. I have set alarms on my phone and bought a large pill dispenser. I fill it once a week.

Breaking down
Not everyone is required to go on the preop diet. She may not have a fatty liver due to her age? Idk. Wishing her the best!

Drinking With a Straw?
I drink with a straw and have been since two weeks out. No pain or issues. I get more water in using it.

Help!!!
Just be good to yourself. Drink, rest, walk when you feel less dizzy. Maybe try drinking some water with electrolytes in it too.

Not feeling full
I only started to feel restriction when I began to eat puréed chicken breast with mayo. Before that I could easily eat yogurt (entire container) drink water etc. restriction will come when you're eating denser proteins and such. Don't let it freak you out!
