  1. I have learned that it's just easier to have a smoothie for dinner because it's easier to get down than chewable food and I tend to work out earlier in the day and am not nearly as active after 6pm. I have lost about 16 pounds and had my procedure on 1/7/16. I'm grateful that I am not having very many side affects other than in the mornings I feel pretty yucky until I take my omeprizol and start moving around. I think the keys is to be active after you consume anything. I try to at least and I always feel better later when I do vs when I don't. I have been measuring my food out and avoiding anything with flour in it. This weekend o went to Big Bear with my friends and we made chicken parm Pasta and I just had the chicken and a little sauce the size of the palm of my hand and I was super full after that. If I don't measure my food and eat what I want I always feel sick after.

    Good luck everyone!!!

  2. I had my procedure on Jan 7th and had a rough first week. I didn't start a full liquid diet until two days ago and have been able to start soft foods today. I started out 194 pounds and am down to 182. I'll let you know how much I lose now that I'm actually eating real food.

Sorry about the lack of weight loss that sucks I'd be pissed too! But I think if you can omit the carbs as much as possible try that. My dietician told me to take advantage of corn tortillas cause they won't stick to the balloon as bad and you can use them as bread. I'I did have a chicken taco on corn tortilla from chipotle today and it was ????

  3. I had the gastric balloon procedure on Thursday and had some nausea a couple hours after the procedure and threw up a couple times between yesterday and today--mostly just dry heaving since I am still on a liquid diet. I am concerned I am not drinking enough Water also. Today is day two and I was able to walk my dog around the block but i definitely felt weak and a little sick. I have some strange back pain underneath the balloon that feels like it's poking me...and I have been getting headaches. I am fatigued and one of the meds they prescribed me messes with my vision It feels weird to have something in my stomach that doesn't belong.I am hoping I won't be this uncomfortable for much longer...I have heard it could be a lot worse so I'm grateful for that. Any advise, suggestions, would be very much appreciated!!
