I have not tried the ricotta that way but I LOVE ricotta! Good idea, thanks for sharing! Everything else I love- good to know that they are Sleeve friendly!
  8. Although I am pre-op in all aspects. I am very grateful or all that have taken the time to share their stories. I have made my decision for the Sleeve after reading about all the complications and long term failure of the Band. Thank you to everyone that has shared their story here and on LBT. I am still trying to get over the thought of removing 80% of my stomach, and still paranoid about staples and leaking but that is why I am here to research but I am not going to try for the band. It's too risky. Vampyrvet- I hope your overall success continues and best of luck to you in the future.

    Thinking about the Sleeve

Oh my, that is HORRIBLE! There was no way of your Dr. warning you not to take that pill? Geeez, I am sorry!
  10. I've been on this site for about 1.5 years. I've always noticed the complications but tried not to dwell on them- but, recently I have noticed that more and more people that are having difficulties around the 3 year mark, if not before. I'm starting to look into the Sleeve more now. If I was to get the Band or the Sleeve I would be financing it and I REALLY don't want to have to have something removed or be totally miserable before I even pay it off. The only thing I am concerned about is the lack of long term statistics I am finding. If there is anyone out there that can steer me in the right direction(s) to find any I would be greatly appreciative. Any personal insight would be great as well. Thank you for your time.

    Thinking about the Sleeve

ruthgrosvenorcox ~ I am so sorry about your problem(s). I guess I could look back at your previous postings but, what was it that's so rare? I don't want to end up paying twice- who does? No one. I do hope that the Sleeve will be everything and more that you hoped for from the Band. Take care, thanks for sharing.

    Thinking about the Sleeve

Thanks OregonDaisy- I will look into those some more. You are one of the small group of people that I have been keeping tabs on about revision- including WasAbubblebutt, MacMadame, and some others. After seeing all of you having problems, all while playing the game right and ultimately going to the Sleeve has made me re-think my decision. I appreciate all of you being "vocal" about it thus, helping others like myself. I grew up in Oregon by the way, Portland & Milwaukie and then lived in Salem in my teens. I miss it there. SO different then Texas!

  15. Owww, I bet the delusional deprivation "stage" is real, real, F-U-N. All by yourself too- poor thing. I do not envy you- I work in 4 bed private lab, hence no insurance! What system do you use?

  16. Ahh, I'm pretty easy to miss I guess, #1 I am yet to be banded and #2 I mostly hang in the insurance/financing threads #3 I lurk, A LOT. I work in The Woodlands 30 miles N. of Houston. You?

  17. Hello Plain, fellow Sleep Tech. that lives in Texas. Strange.

    self pay insurance

No offense Meltingaway, I may be confused, But I have heard nothing but horrible things about Cinergy telling people they are medical insurance when they are nothing but a inflated priced discount card that doesn't discount much, if anything.
