Still not approved, but I validated that the insurance company has the request. My surgeon is not concerned- told me to plan for March 16. I am not that optimistic... We shall see.

The wait game!
My surgeons office called and stated they submitted to Insurance yesterday. I plan on calling tomorrow to validate. I was told that the insurance company has 2 weeks to make a decision. They also said I am on target to still have surgery on 3/16. Nothing like waiting until the last minute. 21 days and counting..With a big maybe in my mind- due to pending approval.

What Is Your Biggest Fear?
My biggest fear is that WLS will affect my marriage. I have a strong marriage. My husband is supportive of my decision. I read that there is a high percentage of divorces. I hope that is not the case. I think keeping communication lines open should help on this front.

Resolution of IBS
Thank you for the question. I was just about to ask the same question. Today is an IBS day- and wondering if WLS would help or hurt it. I appreciate all the responses. It looks like mixed bag.

900 calorie diet several weeks before surgery
Hi Valeria1982, I am in the same boat. I am waiting for the phone call that I am approved. Everything was done by Jan 13, and I still do not have confirmation on a date. My surgeon has me on a pre-surgery diet of 1200 calories. I do use FP to track and make certain I am getting enough Protein. Goal is at least 100 g. of protein a day- prior to surgery. It is so hard waiting. I had a glass of wine tonight. While it is not officially on the diet, it is within my calorie intake- and needed something as a treat for the long wait...

Holy Naseua!
I am still waiting for surgery. Do you feel much pain?

Question on Unjury
I am trying different ways ways to use the unflavored Protein powder. When I tried to put it in sugar free hot chocolate, it did not dissolve. It got hard and lumpy. Any suggestion on how to put powders?utm_source=BariatricPal&utm_medium=Affiliate&utm_campaign=CommentLink" target="_ad" data-id="1" >unjury in hot liquid? I expect to need to do this after surgery.

PTSD or Compulsive Eating Disorder Sleevers?
Mega 100, If you have insurance, you want to stay in network. When there is not a financial issue, it will be much easier to go as long as you need. I made inquires to a few different therapist. Don't settle for one that you are not comfortable with. I have talked to therapist in the past that made me feel worse about myself. That is not what anyone needs. I opted for a therapist that specialized in eating disorder and trauma. I also wanted a female as many of my issues are difficult to talk about in the first place. Good Luck
