  18. My biggest fear is that WLS will affect my marriage. I have a strong marriage. My husband is supportive of my decision. I read that there is a high percentage of divorces. I hope that is not the case. I think keeping communication lines open should help on this front.
  19. Thank you for the question. I was just about to ask the same question. Today is an IBS day- and wondering if WLS would help or hurt it. I appreciate all the responses. It looks like mixed bag.
  20. I make pizza on top of portabello mushrooms...
  21. Thank you for posting your journey. Every different perspective helps those that have not had the surgery yet.
  22. Hi Valeria1982, I am in the same boat. I am waiting for the phone call that I am approved. Everything was done by Jan 13, and I still do not have confirmation on a date. My surgeon has me on a pre-surgery diet of 1200 calories. I do use FP to track and make certain I am getting enough Protein. Goal is at least 100 g. of protein a day- prior to surgery. It is so hard waiting. I had a glass of wine tonight. While it is not officially on the diet, it is within my calorie intake- and needed something as a treat for the long wait...
  23. I am still waiting for surgery. Do you feel much pain?
  24. I am trying different ways ways to use the unflavored Protein powder. When I tried to put it in sugar free hot chocolate, it did not dissolve. It got hard and lumpy. Any suggestion on how to put powders?utm_source=BariatricPal&utm_medium=Affiliate&utm_campaign=CommentLink" target="_ad" data-id="1" >unjury in hot liquid? I expect to need to do this after surgery.
  25. Mega 100, If you have insurance, you want to stay in network. When there is not a financial issue, it will be much easier to go as long as you need. I made inquires to a few different therapist. Don't settle for one that you are not comfortable with. I have talked to therapist in the past that made me feel worse about myself. That is not what anyone needs. I opted for a therapist that specialized in eating disorder and trauma. I also wanted a female as many of my issues are difficult to talk about in the first place. Good Luck
