Too much! Come to my doc in Mexico! She’s known as the Tummy Tuck queen and is every bit worth what I paid! I had a lower body lift that included nine procedures and a week stay at her recovery house with around the clock nurses and a hospital stay with meds and food and such. Www.beauty-enhance.com

Has anyone hired a nurse to stay or stop by for a few days? I have only my adult sons and they can’t help with like getting me to the bathroom or changing bandages or the parts that are being worked on. They can fix me meals and take care of the little kids for me but I have no female to help if I need more private help.
The place I went to had a recovery house included in my surgery package. I stayed for seven days.

You look great! Way to go!!

I had a royal lower body lift and included seven procedures and pain was extremely minimal and I’m a huge baby. I’m sorry it’s been a rough recovery for you. Prayers for your continued pain control and for a speedy healing process!!

They will pay for a panniculectomy anything other than that is considered cosmetic. A panni is quite different from a Tummy Tuck or body lift. The focus of the panni is to take off the extra skin. The tummy tuck is more focused on taking off the skin and making the abdomen more aesthetically pleasing to the eye. I just paid 11 k for my body lift in Mexico with Dr Cardenas. It was actually seven procedures in one. It even helped with my thighs. best wishes to you!! Congrats in your loss!

I had my front one for about two weeks and the back one for almost a month. I live only 90 min from Mexico so I drove. The people I m we that flew in did by home with their Drains.

Not really as it included my whole package with a week stay at the recovery house with around the clock care from nurses. I stayed one night in the hospital. All fees for the surgeon and anesthesiologist, pain pump, meds, food, etc... what I got for my package would easily be 20 k in the states. I wasn’t looking for a provider who was a cheaper alternative, I was focused on quality of care and best outcomes. I have seen other women go to Mexico and pay less. I’ve also seen horrendous botched surgeries. I had such a wonderful experience and it was worth every penny.

Still numb mostly in my back. Swelling stays because there is a redistribution of fluids in the body and it’s part of our natural inflammatory response. I was told real results would be most visible by three months out. I’m getting boobs and arms next. Then thighs after that. This was my first surgery and being that it was seven procedures rolled into one surgery it has been a doozy. The surgeon told me that the thigh surgery will be a hard recovery. Not looking forward to going through that. I am so very glad the extra Water helped with the faja situation. You go girl! Keep your head up!

Wow, you look absolutely amazing!!! Have you lost more since surgery?

Thank you. Ya I lost about ten more lbs. I’m still swollen not sure how much more will come off. I tried wearing jeans the other day. What a weird sensation having my hip bones poking out. I’ve always worn waist high jeans and this low rise stuff is new to me. Still trying to adjust.

Yes! In the hospital it went as low as 85/75! Good advice though, thank you. I've been drinking my 2 liters of Water a day but will try to drink a lot before taking it off.

Great results!!! Splinting with a pillow over your abdominal area should help some. You sound like you may possibly be a bit low bp wise from the fainting issue. I was the same. Make sure you drink plenty of fluids especially before take the faja off. And sit for a few min after taking it off to let your body adjust a bit. It’s a horrible feeling. I hope the best and a speedy recovery to u!

I had a lower body lift with Dr Carmina Cardenas. It was such a wonderful experience.

I am beyond excited! This summer I will be returning to the talented and sweet Dr Carmina Cardenas. I returned to her office last week for removal of my stitches and General check up. I brought up my interest in pursuing a breast lift and implant with arm lift procedures. She was very honest and told me I had to wait a certain amount of time before going under the knife again. So I am abiding by her professional recommendation and going through the wait. This summer will be my second of three planned surgeries. My first was a lower body lift. It has been a heck of a recovery but certainly doable. I am feeling better with each day that passes. I have regained a lot of my strength. There’s still a tiny area in my hip and in the crevice of my bottom that needs to close. My belly, fleur de lis incision, and back have all healed really nicely. I am applying merderma daily and am looking into those silicon healing strips to side with scar healing.
I feel so blessed to get to continue my journey with Dr C and her talented team. I felt so well taken care of by everyone when I was down in MX.
I am planning on ending my procedures with a thigh lift, when I get the courage to do it. That procedure scares me the most for some reason, but I need it so bad. I have such bad thigh skin laxity it’s so unsightly and even embarrassing. I have a while for that yet though.
I am concentrating on healing further from my body lift and enjoying Christmas with my family.
Happy holidays to all!

Thank you! The recovery from this surgery has been hard. I don’t know that anything can prepare someone for it. A good support system is vital and a great plastic surgery team. I am very glad I went to Dr Cardenas because not only did her and the team do a wonderful job but they continue to check on me and I have access to her nurse 24-7. She’s extremely responsive and puts my mind at ease when I’m having a neurotic episode lol.

I was 133 before surgery. I’ve lost about 140 lbs. Had plastic surgery a year after bari surgery. I’m now 125 lbs a month after lower body lift.

Nurse247 hopefully by now you are feeling a little better.
So I was ready to put down a deposit with Dr. Cardenas but then I saw the list of lab work required before surgery. In addition the standard set that all surgeons seem to ask for, she wants a HIV and Hepatitis test. This requirement makes me quite uncomfortable so I think it is going to be a deal breaker as far as surgery with her.
As a nurse none of it was unusual to me. It was all done in one office visit.

I’ve done a lot of home health nursing in my career and saw terrible complications from patients who smoke. A very wise choice to quit!

I had a lower body lift. Insurance typically only pays for a panniculectomy. They do not pay for tucks as they’re considered strictly cosmetic and not medically necessary in nature. A panniculectomy is quite different from a Tummy Tuck. I had mine in Mexico with Dr Carmina Cardenas

A good mental state of mind. There will be lots of ups and downs. Support is vital to healing properly. I got a raised toilet seat. It’s been a trip!

Thank you guys! I had some swelling in my abdomen I’m sure it’s apparent in the pics. It ended up being two areas that kind of burst and was outputting Fluid. I suppose it’s like a seroma. So I am draining them twice a day and kind of watching to see that they dissipate. These are common to happen especially after weight loss surgery. I have chosen to be positive and to just do what needs to be done to heal these. I am walking straighter and not so sore with alternating Tylenol and tramadol so I am thankful for that. I am still numb in my abdominal area so expressing the fluid does not hurt and I am thankful for that as well. I will update as time progresses.
