  1. I think your personality will somewhat change (becoming more confident) and you will have strange days with all those hormones surging around in your body( kind of like a pregnant woman thing) but you adjust. My fear is I will be mean in pain right after surgery which is tomorrow and I don't want to be snarky to my dear Momma who has come to take care of me until I get on my feet. You will be fine since you are aware it hurt you so much but quite frankly speaking the honest truth to your Mom will clear a few cobwebs out and open things up so ya'll can work on it.

  2. Maybe you could call the places that do DS's and ask about PCP's that are familiar with DS's. Will be having DS in Louisiana in a month or so waiting for insurance approval so I can get scheduled in. I think there are 3 or more doctors that perform this in Louisiana don't quote me but do believe some are doing the SADIS or SiPs DS not the traditional so make sure you tell them which one you have had done. Good luck my doctor never has messed with anyone with DS but has Rny has a very open mind so think I will be able to work with him

  3. I have not been scheduled have to get insurance approval which should be turned in this week then scheduled. I hope it is very soon because I need a hernia repair when I have surgery and I am in so much pain from it. I will push them as fast as possible because of this problem. Monday will be my last doctor approval then off to insurance. I did talk to the coordinator and she said insurance (Humana) takes up to 30 days for approval and since I have so many comorbities I really don't see a problem with approval.

  4. did you have the tradition DS or the SIPs single loop DS? I think their diet is a little different. There are some groups on Facebook that support DSers I would suggest asking the ones/vets that have experience with stalls. You can also join

a group and then type in stall in the search bar for that group I hope this helps you. I have not had surgery yet hopefully it will be in Jan or early Feb.

  5. Try adding more spice in your foods also the thing that helps me the most is ginger tea. I take raw ginger slice thin and boil for about 15 minutes with Water on stove. Makes an awesome tea that makes me feel so much warmer. Might help boost your metabolism some as well. Have you tried making some changs in your diet to boost the weight loss sometimes it does not take much to get moving again.
