  1. 4.99% is a great rate. Please check out the link below for current mortgage rates. Keep in mind that these reflect the mortgage rates for buyers with GREAT credit scores. http://www.bankrate.com/blm/
  2. FYI - You may wish to wait until your 2 year mark in October before you sell. Otherwise, you'll have to pay high taxes on any equity (capital gains) you make from the sale of your current home. If you wait, Internal Revenue Code 121 allows for the following once you've lived in your principal residence for at least 2 years (but not longer than 5): Single owner - $250,000 tax exemption Married couple filing joint tax return - $500,000 tax exemption The link below may help explain further. http://www4.law.cornell.edu/uscode/html/uscode26/usc_sec_26_00000121----000-.html
  3. I'm here, sweetie. I was in Florida for a long weekend and just returned yesterday afternoon. I'm happy to hear that you're back at the gym. I need to get my butt in gear and exercise again. I took too long of a break while on vacation. Had I known there was an exercise room at the condos, I would have brought my workout gear. I won't jog without my trusty sports bra, ya know. I hope you get to onederland by Christmas, Heather. That would be such a great gift. :huggie: Wazzup, Dawg? Congrats on losing 80 pounds.
  4. It does sound like a mild infection but the antibiotics that were prescribed should fight it. If, after taking the antibiotics, you find that it's not getting better, it would be to your benefit to go see a doctor.
  5. You're welcome, Mindy. I see that Liz has already answered your question.
  6. I have PCOS and suffered from severe migraines prior to surgery. Since having surgery almost a year ago, I've had 3 very mild migraines. Also, as you can see from my stats below, having PCOS hasn't affected my ability to lose weight with the band. I wish you the best of luck!
  7. Tricia K. replied to Carlene's topic in The Lounge
I bought the book the other day and will read it before I see the movie. Thanks for the heads up though.
  8. P.S. my current weight is a guesstimate because the scales are hidden. I won't really know what I weigh until next Wednesday. I may only weigh myself every 2 weeks. I haven't decided just yet.
  9. If you go to obesityhelp.com and click on the word "edit" in the top right corner of the Before & After section, you can filter by surgery type.
  10. I have 2 NSV's. 1) I purchased a size 12 tankini to wear on my Florida trip this weekend. 2) When I sit down, I now have that visible 'line' on the side of my legs that defines the quadricep muscle. Does that make sense?
  11. Thanks, Emilee & Paula. LOL...actually, I slept like a baby last night. The owner will still be there until the 16th as he's waiting to close on his house. The 20th is our big move-in day.
  12. No exercise for me today
  13. Since I just joined a few days ago, I'm going to wait until next week to update my stats.
  14. Thanks, Anne! We're moving in August 20th.
  15. FYI - Like Kathy (the best me), I will not be participating in the scorecard portion of this challenge. But, I will continue to update my weekly weight and BMI.
  16. Congratulations, John.
  17. 2.5 hours of bowling 1 hour mall walk
  18. Here are my current stats. Tricia K. - H 283/ S 274/ J 188/ G 160/ C 188 / BMI: 30.3 (-86 lbs total, -1 this week) Good luck, everyone.
  19. Great work this month, Funny.
  20. That's great news, Eileen.
  21. mousecrazy, my favorite Christmas song is also 'O Holy Night' but Mariah Carey's version. Josh Groban is my 2nd choice though.
  22. Maybe we should use the BMI calculator from the CDC (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention) website. http://www.cdc.gov/nccdphp/dnpa/bmi/adult_BMI/english_bmi_calculator/bmi_calculator.htm
  23. I beg to differ...she's ALREADY gorgeous! Best of luck to you, Jodie. I think with will and determination, you'll conquer whatever it is you're going through.
  24. I recommend against it due to the possible side-effects to your heart. After talking to my doctor about it several years ago, I tossed the rest of the bottle I had with me in the trash - - right there in her office.
