  1. The lap band actually comes in 3 different sizes: 1) 9.75cm - maximum fill volume is 4cc 2) 10cm - maximum fill volume is 4cc 3) 11cm - maximum fill volume is 9cc The size of the band used is determined by the surgeon during surgery based on the size and thickness of the patient's stomach.
  2. I'm sorry to hear about your troubles. Unfortunately, the sweet spot is very individual. Currently, I have 2.9cc in my 4cc band and I'm properly restricted. Howerver, I've read where others have less than 2cc and are properly restricted. My rule of thumb is this - - If I am hungry 2-3 hours after eating and/or I can eat more than 1/2 c. of food at one sitting, I am in need of a fill. I hope this helps.
  3. Congrats, Mary! I absolutely LOVE Levi's. They are so comfortable. I had a similar Levi's NSV last week. I fit into 3 styles of size 13 Juniors Levi's (below). I didn't buy any but it felt good! 18. *raises hand* Guilty as charged, I'm afraid. It got so bad that I asked my DH to hide the scales. I weighed myself this morning for the 1st time in 2 weeks. That's the plan for now - - weigh myself once every 2 weeks.

  22. Hey sweetie!! I have missed you. I'm so glad to see that you're back but sorry that you've stalled. Wheetsin has given you some very good advice. I was at a stand-still for quite some time and didn't see any results until I went in for a small fill and changed some things. Upping my water did wonders. Doing a liquid diet for a few days did wonders. Focusing on solid proteins for a few days did wonders. Mixing up my exercise routine did wonders. The scale is definitely moving slower now but it's still moving. I hope you are on the losing side again VERY soon. Please stay around, ok?
  23. You may also wish to look into buyowner.com. You pay no real estate commission fees to sell the house. They do charge fees to list your home on their website, post pictures, etc. but it's far less than what you'd pay in commission fees to a real estate agent. Pricing your home: If you're unsure as to the price you should ask for your home, contact a local appraisal company and inquire about their fee for appraising your home. Tell them that you're looking to refinance and they'll pull comparable homes in the area and provide you with an appraisal price. This will get you the most for your home. If you don't want to go the buyowner.com way, you could try to do it on your own by putting an ad in the local paper, purchasing "For Sale By Owner" signs and indicate that you're having an open house on a particular weekend/weekends. If, after a few open houses, you don't get any offers, you could then list it with a real estate agent.
  24. LOL...I've noticed the same thing! It hurts to sit on hard chairs, in the bath tub, etc. And, I still have padding on my butt! What gives?
