liquid foods I'm having 4 ounces (thick soups). pureed foods, I'm having 2-3 ounces. If I have more than that, I feel sick. Not sick like dumping syndrome, but I feel sick like uncomfortable. It's hard to explain it. I don't know if that is what "full" feels like, but I am labeling it as I'm full. So I stop.

Yes. I was too nervous about the refried beans, so I put them my ninja juice blender. Then it was smooth. Same with cottage cheese.. but I haven't had eggs

None that I know of. I use nectar Protein. 1 scoop is 23 grams. I use two scoops. Then I add 16 ounces of fat free lactate milk. The milk is 18 grams of protein for the 16 ounces. It makes up to be 64 grams.

Hi Sean... I'm with you!! I started phase 3 on Thursday. Since I can't have enough Protein with food. I drink my protein for Breakfast. From 8am-12pm I sip my Protein shake. 64 grams of protein and about 17 ounces of liquid. Then I begin my Water. I have the water throughout the day. I have something for lunch usually 4 ounces that I space out in an hour. So far these last 3 days I've had, mashed potatoes, yesterday, refried Beans and today I had cottage cheese. All three were about 6-8 tbsp. I don't know when I'm full yet because I don't know what it feels like. My brain wants to keep eating but I stop myself at 8 tbsp. For dinner I sip on some Soup that I had already prepared during phase 2. This way, I have the full 64 oz of liquids AND my protein. It's so hard to decipher when I'm full because I don't feel it yet. But I do feel that I'm not hungry. I hope this helped a bit.

I only have one out of five that is still crusty. The rest are closed and sealed. But they still itch around the area where I had my staples. They itch real bad.

Me too. I can eat eggs and beans now but I still have to drink protein. I am soooo tired of it!! It won't stop when you are able to eat. It just gets annoying.I plan on buying those isopure juices and mixing them with my water.

Dear Refried Beans, When I bought you, I couldn't wait to taste you. I feared you might be too chunky, so that is why I put you in my juice blender. Once you were done, I put you in a 1/2 cup Glade tupperware. I then wanted you to be warm, so I put you in the microwave. You were so hot, the flavor so delicious and spicy. I enjoyed several small spoons of you. Then, the worst happened. I became full but my head was not. I wanted to keep eating you, but I just could not. Please understand, it's not you, it's me. Love, Monica

That's terrible @@macdonaldkelly but at the same time... just the smell of delicious food brings salivating joy. Be strong! I haven't had to cook since the day before surgery. Since I haven't been able to drive, my sister has been getting my nephew from school. Today, I'm back on my regular schedule. As soon as we get home, "Auntie Monica, I'm hungry!!" I can already hear him. We'll see how strong my will is after that. ????

I dont know if this reply is too late, but I only just had my staples removed. The nurse put some kind of glue and then some steri-strips. That night, I was itching like crazy. It was so bad that I got up and opened each one, cleaned it with alcohol and put some new strips in. The nurse did a terrible job anyway. After that, I stopped itching. I think it's the glue they use to keep the strips in place.

My doctor told me it was just gas and moving around more will help. I'm no doctor but, I do know my body. The night before, when I had the pain, I slept on my side.. but the last two nights, I slept on my back. No chest pain at all! What I think happened, my wounds from inside are still tender and when I slept on my side, maybe I put too much pressure on it (I'm not skinny yet hehehe) which caused it to hurt and feel sore. Also, I bought a real tight sports bra that is giving the girls some very good support. So that is something else keeping the pressure off my chest. Again, I'm just guessing because I know my body. I know what gas feels like and this wasn't gas.

Yey, my doctor said everything is fine and I am doing great! He said I've lost 11 pounds since surgery. So I guess that means my weight was recorded for after surgery when I weighed 3.8 pounds more. I'll say surgery weight was 234 from now on. He started me on phase 3. In a month, he said most likely I'll begin phase 4. I'm so nervous about starting phase 3. Is anyone else on phase 3 already? What are you eating? I need to look through my notes. He okayed cottage cheese, but do I have to blend it first? I forgot to ask.

Is anyone feeling discomfort in the middle of your chest? I'm seeing my doctor tomorrow, but I'm curious to see if anyone else is feeling it. It's bothersome. It only feels better when I arch my back. I'm thinking maybe I need to stop sleeping on my side for now?

I learned today that my body is NOT ready for a bra. The heavy weight of my breasts made my chest hurt. I just want to lie on my bed for the rest of the day! My first post op is tomorrow and I bought cottage cheese because that is what I want to eat first. Also, mashed potatoes.. but I'll find out tomorrow what I can eat. I'm looking forward to having cottage cheese.
