    Yes, if you have apnea it's a really good idea to confirm that, and get set up with a CPAP. Then when you're in recovery from the endoscopy (and the anaesthesia) you won't be having apneac episodes. Less strain on the body. You can then have it in recovery from your surgery. :-)

  2. Hello, fellow Seattlites! I don't have a date yet, but am jumping through each pre-op "hoop" and thinking over my choices. VSG seems to be a good option, and the folks at Northwest Weight Loss Surgery have been very helpful. I saw the dietitian on Monday, and will have my psych intake just before Christmas.

    I already had my upper endoscopy, and had to postpone thoughts of surgery to deal with the three bleeding ulcers I did not know I had. No more oral Toradol for me! :-)

    I am enjoying reading everybody's stories, and getting a solid "heads up" on all the possible issues I can face. Many thanks!
