  1. I will be going through this after my Monday surgery. We discussed this topic in our surgeons classes. I got a therapist to help sort this out.

I want to be slim. I will need to lose more than I had originally thought about. I am going for a 6. I have never bought a 6 as an adult. I remember being an 8 and a 10 but that was in 1985.

If attention from others is making you uncomfortable then can you take the time to look into that? I won't be wearing tight clothes. It will be very strange to get attention after being "invisible" all the time I have been overweight.

Also, can you post this same topic in other forums and Google this as well to get more information?

I am so sorry you are uncomfortable. You deserve to be incredibly happy after being so brave! !

  2. I am on day 5 of all liquids to shrink the liver. Today is easily the hardest. I want real food and I don't mean salads! I had lost every morning when I weighed in and this morning gained 2.9 lbs. Makes no sense that I gained. Oh well, right? ?

My husband has been very supportive. He told me today he was afraid he wasn't going to say the right thing in the next couple of weeks. I am being more clear on the verbal support I will need!

  3. I am on my 7 day liquid pre-op and man are my hormones all over! I could snap at anyone. I am so sorry you had this happen. So I imagined someone saying something mean to me...as I am sure will happen....and I came up with some really good zingers!

    You have support here!!

  4. I am in my 7 days of liquid pre-op stage and already know a stall will be tough. Everyone say stay off the scale...BUT...I can tell I will be weighing regularly. I gained 3 lbs since yesterday and this is the liver cleanse liquid stage where lots lose 10 lbs or more! Yikes!!!

I talked to my husband and explained stalls to him and how he can support me since we get the stalls! My class taught us to increase our calorie count by 200 calories a day and increase our exercise and to try a new form of exercise. Then track everything!

I hope you all pass through your stall soon! I will be crossing my fingers for you!!
