Water retention? Time of the month? Time of day of when you weigh changing? Needing to poo, so many possibilities, keep drinking and eating your Protein first, maybe next week it will disapeer for no reason :)

ive been taking Water pills and laxatives. yesterday i mustve pooped my brains out it was an all day affair lol im not complaining better than constipated. i increased my Protein but i did notice the last couple days i have been falling short on my water intake. so im hoping that is part of it. im in menopause so no worries there lol i weigh myself at the same time everyday after first morning pee. its sooooo frustrating

I had my surgery on August 2nd. Converted from a Lap Band. So far so good. I am 8 weeks out and eating regular foods. I still cant eat raw veggies i'm waiting for that. I am down 38 pounds and currently in a stall.

i was sleeved 8/9 revision band to sleeve (not in one process) i am struggling to eat solid foods. they make me very uncomfortable. ive tried ground turkey/chicken, soft turkey medallions, i make sure i chew everything really well but its a no go. i feel like im stuck with pureeds and soft foods forever. (a little dramatic i know) even tuna is giving me a hard time and before it was fine. the nurse from my dr office suggested that i eat 2 oz at a time like every 2-3 hours. i tried solids and thats the deal breaker. my weight loss is slowwwwwww down to almost a halt. im so exhausted everyday no energy. its very defeating.

I was sleeved on 8/31 and I have stalled for about 3 weeks now. It’s frustrating as all heck. I hope it breaks SOON!

for me im on this rollercoaster. i lose 1-3#s then nothing for week to 10 days its crazy. im a numbers person and i depend on the scale for progress but im trying to wrap my mind around other progress signs like clothes fitting differently, stamina, and comments from others. its hard.

Sleeved August 16. Down about 36 pounds.

I stalled for almost four weeks. I wanted to cry and I was really pissed. But it finally broke.

Sooooo, is anyone else going through this? It seems like every third day I am exhausted-like don't want to get out of bed can't move exhausted. And like every three or four days I'm starving. Eating like every two or three hours. And then every other day I feel good, not hungry too often, and have energy. Sooooo weird!!

    i totally can relate.

  5. Yes it does. Sugar is the 3rd ingredient in the lemonade base.

Never trust what they tell you has sugar and doesn't. Make them show you the packaging. If you can't make out the lettering above the ingredients are Water, lemon juice, sugar.

Seriously the only thing safe is black coffee/espresso. Bring a scale and add your own cream. That is the only way to control the calories. If you aren't willing to do that, don't have starbucks. Everything has hidden sugar, even trace amounts.
I had flat whites most of the time now, but I have the calories and carbs to spare. You don't have that kind wiggle room in the early losing phase.
Don't blow your reset time on Starbucks, they will still be around in a year.

Wow I'm floored that they would lie like that...i really appreciate u showing the package...as a diabetic that could be lethal...I'm done with Starbucks [emoji36][emoji35][emoji34]

I'm down juuuust short of 60 pounds since I started this. (Including the 2 week pre-op diet.) Seven weeks since sleeved, no major stalls. I'm sticking to 700-850 calories a day, 90-110 grams of Protein a day, <60 g of carbs a day. I walk/hike around 10 miles a week, which I am actually starting to love. the 'burbs her in Chicago are full of public woods with trails. I walk a slightly different path nearly every day.

BEST OF ALL: as of today, I can eat solid foods. I actually started a bit last night. My family made this pizza bread thing and I had about 160 calories worth of that. Tonight, I want to have... a Tomato. Seriously... it's been killing me watching my family rave over the amazing tomatoes in season and not be able to have one.

im in chicago also....where did you have your surgery/

I'm visiting Chicago for the week and decided to bulk buy Premier Protein shakes to take back with me as it's not available to buy in Australia. I bought 9 x 4 packs, not expecting to find the taste repulsive and undrinkable!!

Rather than throw them away I'd love to see them go to someone who can use them. I leave Chicago on Saturday so they would need to be collected that morning. I'm staying on west superior st.

    P.s. They're free 🙂

that would be wonderful.. i would love to take them off your hands im in a bit of a financial hurt right now that would be amazing

Thank you so much! This information goes a long way in calming my nerves. How long did recovery take? Were you able to go back to work right away? I am a teacher and doing this over Thanksgiving break so I am planning about a week, maybe more? What does your day look like now eating wise? About how much can/do you eat?

Thank you for sharing with me :)

i had surgery on wednesday and returned to work monday. i wasnt on the heavy pain meds, my dr gave me liquid tylenol and it was sufficient. i have a desk job so it was fine. i worked through my lunch so i was able to leave an hour early. by the end of the day i was tired. you have to listen to your body. i was still on liquids going back to work so that was easy after 10 days they bumped me to pureeds and i just brought those 2oz cups and ate out of those.

That's a terrible piece of advice. What if you don't have hunger cravings? I know after my surgery, I don't, so that would be woefully irresponsible advice to give.

that response was because i felt like i was eating too much. my problem though i can go all day especially on the weekend and not eat all day but then later i feel hungry and a couple times over ate. so she told me to try just 2 ounces of something throughout the day so i dont get to that point

  10. went to my 6 weeks post op appointment. I am 60# down from pre op and from the last time i saw them 1 week post op 8/17 i am 18# down. they said weight wise going good but i need to tweak my habits to be more on their program. by that i need to eat much slower. wait 30 min b/a for drinking. weigh my food. eat more often and not wait so long. not take Water pills as often and ease up on the laxatives. the biggest one they want me to change is to not weigh myself everyday. that one is hard. i asked why sometimes i can eat more sometimes than other times and they said not to compare to what other people are eating but eat until im not hungry not till im full.
