Pregnancy After RNY
Well, I met with my surgeon and he highly recommended RNY. I also met with my OBGYN and she feels with supplements, nutrition modification, and being closely monitored, I can have successful pregnancies after bypass. I should have surgery next month. Thanks so so much for everyone's input.

Insurance and supplements
I was able to get a prescription for vitamins that are mailed each month and a prescription for the scar cream and protein shakes that are mailed each month. My Dr. helped me with the vitamins and I applied online for the scar cream and protein shakes with Insure Nutrition. After I applied, they called to see what I was interested in, they verified what insurance would cover, and faxed the prescription to my Dr.

TALLAHASSEE SLEEVERS?
My spouse says he supports me, but continues to make unhealthy choices around me and even tries to tempt me into eating those things with him. Most of my coworkers are really supportive.

TALLAHASSEE SLEEVERS?
I'll be at the same seminar! Maybe we will see each other. I agree with you about the sleeve. I have done hours of research, and I feel like bypass is best for me. I see her on the 27th. Let's keep in touch!

TALLAHASSEE SLEEVERS?
In my appointments with her, she has said that she recommends sleeve over bypass. I mentioned that I was considering bypass over sleeve, and she told me that I wouldn't want to have the bypass due to nutritional deficiencies. In my next appointment, I'm going to tell her that I've decided that the bypass is the route I want to take. Edited to say that she said someone as young as I am, late 20s can have those nutritional deficiencies, especially with wanting to have children in the future.

What Are Your Fast Food Faves?
My favorite fast food is a stir fry place called One Fresh. They give you so much food that a bowl will easily last me 3 meals now if I have a normal person portion. It would last me all week once I'm post-op. I normally get quinoa now, but I would likely spend a little more and get it without a starch (veggies and protein only).

Is there a specific clothing store that you were gunning for once you reached your target/goal weight?
I want to buy something cute at Target.

Smoothies - off limits?
I'm pre-op, and still wrapping my head around the things I should eat and shouldn't. I haven't really found too many things I'm going to miss too much, except smoothies. Are they frowned upon? Can anyone personally tolerate them? I always make green smoothies with berries and/or pineapple, etc. I never add sugar, so I'm hoping it wouldn't cause dumping.

RNY vs. VSG... Feeling RNY pushed to VSG
Hello! Good morning. I truly feel like the RNY is the right surgery for me. I've done so much research and am confident in my decision. My center is pushing the Sleeve, though. One of the reasons is because of my age. I am 29. I will be nearly 30 when I have the surgery. I know there are many others my age that have had the bypass. My doctor has said that I'm healthy enough for bypass, but that he recommends all of his younger patients to have the less invasive surgery. Did anyone go against their surgeon's recommendation to have bypass?

IUD - What should I expect?
Not bad at all! I had the Skyla inserted on two different occasions and just had cramping that reminded me of intense menstrual cramps. The uterine biopsies I've had were much, much worse.
