  1. Not bad at all! I had the Skyla inserted on two different occasions and just had cramping that reminded me of intense menstrual cramps. The uterine biopsies I've had were much, much worse.
  2. For those that had to pay a coinsurance, was that due before surgery or was it billed to you? I know a lot of companies vary so I'm just trying to get an idea of what to expect. I'll ask about it at my next appointment. Thanks!
  3. Whoops! I accidentally put this in the main forum. It's been moved over to the Pregnancy forum. I can't figure out how to delete it though. ???? ????
  4. I am doing some research prior to WLS. I went into my consultation thinking that RNY was the best surgery for me. My doctor did not have anything positive to say about it for someone my age and eagerness to have a family. I will be 29 next month and have no children. She stated that with the RYN, it would be very difficult to provide enough nutrients to have viable pregnancies. She also mentioned lifelong nutrient deficiencies. Has anyone had a doctor okay RNY at a young age and do you regret the more extreme surgery? Thanks in advance!

She stated that most women that had a Sleeve have much easier pregnancies. Has anyone had a doctor okay RNY at a young age and do you regret the more extreme surgery? Thanks in advance!
  6. I will likely be around there. I'm 380 now and still have the 6 month supervised diet to go. I'm assuming I'll lose at least 20 pounds during this time.
  7. I'm just starting the process as well! I attended the seminar last month and have my first appointment next week. I have no idea what to expect for this first appointment, but I'm super excited. ???? ????????
  8. I bet it's the same as in person. Mostly general information.
  9. I don't have any recommendations, as I'm from Tallahassee. It sucks that your doctor isn't more understanding. My Gyno is the one that recommended I check into WLS! There are understanding and supportive doctors out there. I hope you find one soon.
  10. It sounds like it's probably a combination of both. Now you have more energy, you're probably a little more flexable, your hormones have changed, etc. In any case, good for you! Sex gives you endorphins so I'd totally count it as exercise. ????
  11. Always makes pads designed for larger women and they also have flaps that attach under the panties so they wrap all the way around. They also just recently stated making disposable panties for your period...like adult diapers but for menstrual flow. Platex makes "ultra" tampons. Heavens, yes. Big girl pads must have wings!
  12. This is one of the parts of wls & losing weight that I'm most excited about. I have this picture of me and my style in my head that doesn't translate with what is easily accessible to someone my size.
  13. How exciting!! Congratulations on that first step. I recently attended the seminar and have an appointment for consultation in a couple weeks. My insurance requires 6 months of for a supervised diet so I may be a few months after you. ????
  14. I'm so excited for you! We wish you a very smooth recovery! I can't wait to join the losers bench with you one of these days. ????
  15. My first consultation is January 13th. I am so excited and a little nervous, to be honest. ????
  16. I live in Tallahassee. I'm not getting sleeved. I'm going for the bypass. But, my surgeon will be Dr. Eliot Sieloff from TMH Bariatric Surgery.
  17. Hello, I am sure that this has been asked, but I cannot find any threads with my question. I've made my first appointment after the seminar. I have no idea what to expect. Can anyone tell me what your first appointment was like? Thanks!
