  1. I too wanted the sleeve all along until I was told about my severe acid and how it has damaged my esophagus already and I have a hiatal hernia that also needs repaired. The sleeve will make the acid much worse and for a lot of people who don't have prior issues find out later they get terrible heartburn. Once he told me the acids can cause esophageal cancer, it was a done decision. I wish you luck with your choice and surgery!

  3. Hello, I'm new to the site as well. I'm 7 weeks out and had my surgery in Pittsburgh. I have already had a stall for about two weeks but started losing again this week. Frustrating, but I feel so good. I lost 60 before surgery and 25 post op. At 85 lb loss I'm half way to my goal. Best of luck!

Congratulations! That's fantastic! Where did you have your surgery? Mine is scheduled for April 26!

Are you a revision? I hope and don't see why you wouldn't have just as good of an outcome this time also! I sure hope so!

Yes first time for me! RNY. I wanted sleeve but too much acid damage. I'll be getting a hiatal hernia fixed along with my esophagus fixed a liver biopsy and an endoscope done. I'm hoping all goes perfect. I'm extremely nervous!

  5. Wow congratulations! That's super exciting news! That's huge! I'm so happy for you. Your family is going to love watching your transformation! So nice they're are on board with you. My family also. I have a husband 2 kids and my mom all know. They are all supporting me. My daughter says I should just go to the guy since I don't have a whole lot to lose but she doesn't understand how hard it is to stay away and not eat a whole sleeve or girlscout cookies! I'm 193 right now so I'm lucky I'm not as heavy as some people but I'm only 5' and my bones are brittle from all the lower weight I carry from my hips down. A lot of strain. Right now my foot is fractured cause of my weight. I wanted the sleeve. It can't have it so RNY it is
