    Gummy Vitamins

I wouldn't try it- it may get stuck??? It's not really "chewable" enough so you can break it down with your teeth, or is it??? Hmmmm

    Henderson support group**trying again

I do not like the down talk about the meeting that I personally am planning nor to I condone the talk about the meeting I just attending. I didn't exclude anyone & I certainly didn't do anything wrong by choosing PF Chang's and I am now so aggravated beyond belief it's not even funny. I also do not appreciate that the group that got together is being "pointed at" like we did something wrong by eating out... You weren't there- you don't know what went on- so mind your business and don't judge people. And to be perfectly honest I'm really pissed because Fran was planning on coming with us until their finances took a bad turn and had to cancel... So what's REALLY happening here is--- that eating out was o.k. 2 weeks ago, but NOW that she can't afford to eat out- the people that can are now the bad ones who are surrounding themselves with horrible food in restaurants!!!???!!! Why are you being hypocritical? {I love you Fran, but I have to call you out on this one... it's ridiculous...} And not that we need to explain ourselves, but just so you know how "horrible" we were... #1 We all had Water... #2 One of us had Soup the rest of us shared portions that were smaller than appetizers at any restaurant I've ever been to. (Tapas) #3 If you look at our photo, none of us even touched the bread on the table! Food was NOT the reason we met- food was there so we could eat, as we ALL have to do 3 times a day! We spent MOST of our time getting to know one another and asking questions. So basically, we did not meet at an IHOP- we did not spend the entire time ordering food, nor did we overeat by any means... OMG- GUESS WHAT? WE'RE ADULTS!!! Don't judge if you weren't there or had a bad experience where you "use to live"... that's not fair to the rest of us... Going out to eat is something I love to do and is something I will continue to do for the rest of my life. I have to eat- so why not do it socially? Nowhere on the menu does it say that you can't share nor does it say you have to order anything more than an appetizer or soup... No where does it say- you must overeat to enjoy eating out... If someone cannot come because of financial reasons or simply because they can't handle being in a restaurant- that's not my business- but don't put others down because they CAN handle it... It would fantastic if every day were roses- the fact is no matter what you plan, where you plan it, or when you plan it, someone will have something to say about it and try to change it... That's why I put what I did on the invitation... The group that got together last week was from all over the valley- we decided to plan the meetings centrally so it's easier to have larger groups attend... I would love to have other events to go to in Henderson but I have yet to see a date and time actually planned out. If someone actually plans one & sends out an invite, then I will be happy to attend that one too... Support is support no matter where you are sitting or standing or eating or drinking... And by the way- I had visitors in town all month- I probably ate out 20 times or more (no exaggeration) and still managed to lose weight... Eating OUT was not what got me here, it was the choices I made- it was the exclusion of exercise- and a life long struggle with yo-yo dieting.
  5. Here I am, down 30lbs! Not too much of a change, but at least I have a neck now! LOL Still working on the chin, but I'll get there... Just had my 1st fill yesterday... WooHoo...

I went to buy some shirts yesterday and found that I am now an 18/20- 14/16 was a bit snug- but I'm really not that far away from it!!! Isn't that 1X? OMG- I've been in 3X's for 3 years now and I wanted to die the 1st day I bought a shirt that big... I came home and cleaned out my closet and brought everything to a donation center! 19. 1st, here's the link to our August get-together... http://www.lapbandtalk.com/nevada-local-lap-band-support/69457-vegas-bandsters-august-get-together-all-invited.html#post919373 I didn't want to forget that part!!! It sounds like you have a wonderful family. The larger- the better I say! I have 2 girls, Sam & Allie (7 & 4)- they are so cute and fun to be around (most of the time! LOL) I went to my seminar back in September... My insurance didn't cover anything- so being self-pay the process was Really fast... I decided to pay off a lot of my bills first- then applied for "CareCredit" and made my final decision in April. They had me take some blood tests and an EKG and I was ready to go... no psych-no nutritionist- no diet... I was scheduled for 4/30, but came down with a horrible flu 2 days before- so I had to reschedule for 5/20... All is well. They had problems during surgery because my liver was so large and almost pulled out, but found a way to get around it. My recovery was a bit painful at first- but everyone's experience is different. I was back to work 8 days later. My 1st day back was hard- I lasted 5 hours and went home, then every day got a little easier. Now I finally feel "normal"- but better than I ever did before surgery! 27lbs is a big deal. I really didn't think so, but today I decided I needed a couple of shirts for work, so I went to Lane Bryant where I usually buy a size 26- Today I bought a size 18 and it looks really good on- not snug at all. I only bought 2 shirts because I'm hoping to be in a size 14 REALLY SOON!

    Healthy Eggplant Parmigiana!!!

I go for my fill on Tuesday and will ask at that time. I didn't have any problems at all with it... Just went right down! LOL Perhaps there is problems eating the skin? I Never make it with the skin on- it just doesn't taste as good to me... I'll edit my recipe too!
  23. I had my surgery on a Tuesday and went back to work the following Tuesday because I was lucky enough to have Memorial Day in there! LOL I didn't make it through the whole 1st day and barely made it through the 2nd day. After that- every day got easier and when my weekend came, I just rested. I don't think my recovery would have been any better had I stayed home longer though. It's the getting up and about that starts the healing process. A lot of it being mental too. The best thing to do is to listen to your doctor. They will tell you to walk every hour- do your breathing exercises and sip your drinks. Be prepared to be uncomfortable- take your pain killers. Have a journal ready and write write write! Luckily I have an understanding boss- she's been Great and now comes to the gym with me at lunch time! We've really become close for some odd reason! LOL Let your boss know that even though you're coming back after a week, you may not be able to work the full day. You are having Major Surgery- it's not a botox injection ya know!!!
  24. Will you tell me about The Walk from Obesity... I would love to join in- do I need to start my own team or can I join your group? I don't know where to start- I've never done this before!

I'm sure I can have a couple of others join in too!

    First fill, and NSV!

That must have been Amazing! I have to say that I have had to use an extender and it was mortifying. Even though the flight attendant was quiet about it- I felt like everyone knew and I just wanted to crawl up and die... I will be flying in February and will remember your wonderful story! My NSV for the day- I am home today unexpectedly as my girls are sicky poo (little fevers and ear infections) There was nothing for me to eat- so I took out a weight watchers lasagna and was full after eating 1/2 of it!!! I remember when I would eat one and laugh because it felt like I hadn't eaten at all. Then I'd have a salad, then some fruit, & still feel unsatisfied... How insane! See you Sunday!!!
