ive been healed, doctor was able to cut the scar tissue, its a true miricle, i can now eat and drink water again. after struggling for well over a year

its not achalasia, dr called and said its just scar tissue thats formed around the stomach, where the band used to be. thats causing me to not be able to eat or drink

were going to do a third balloon dialation next month.. until then .. i still cant eat or drink (18 months of liquids) im loosing my mind. the last 2 dialations have not remotely helped, unfortunately. if this does not work he said he will have to remove that top portion of the stomach and re attach it to the esophagaus. heaven help me. @songsmith

update: just had the endoscopy, they found haital hernia, did the balloon dialation (to open stomach back up) its been 4 days and STILL can not drink or eat. HELLLLLP

They found and corrected the same thing when I had my surgery.......recovery from the hernia was miserable...I ended up in the hospital an extra day, a week post op they gave me 2 more bags of fluids.....warm drinks went down easier....but honestly I think the thing that finally got me drinking was room temp Gatorade 2 (G2) It has about 45 calories per bottle.....and I was able to get down one a day for a while. I was also put on spasm meds for a few weeks to help with the pain. It sucks to go through though! Thinking and praying for you.

still can not eat or drink--- go in tomorrow for endoscopy. I pray we get this figured out this week

I really appreciate it. They preformed the balloon procedure to open stomach back up, im still not seeing any progress, pretty much the same, its been 3 days, so we'll see. i may need to be more patient, its hard im so thirsty. mahalo, Nikki
