  1. OMG!! I'm sorry I don't get on BP very much. I have an IG if anyone wants to see my progress or communicate. I'd love to see others progress and positive motivations too. My IG is under VegMex_VSG
  2. Hello everyone, I was sleeved March 2, 2016. I live in Salt Lake City, UT.
  3. @@kyleegirl01 I've never been geocaching, but love the being outdoors. We should plan something soon.
  4. @@kyleegirl01, thank you for letting me know on your doctor you are very kind. I'd love to meet up with other sleevers in our area if you are interested. I had another friend who also had the surgery a week or so ago and her experience wasn't the best. I'm trying to be there for moral support. I also have a IG account if you are interested, I'm kind of weird and haven't shared it publicly with a lot of people. Just very close friends and some family.
  5. @@Musicdebbie I had my surgery with Tijuana Bariatric and Dr. Fernando Garcia did the surgery. I'd wish I had done this a long time ago.
  6. @@Steph~L~16 I had the Sleeve done and thank you so much for your nice comments.
  7. So I've been MIA from BP, I wanted to know how everyone is doing especially cause we all are from UT. I had my surgery on March 2, 2016. Everything went perfectly, I was so pleased. I started my Pre-Pre-Op diet on Jan 15,2016. I'm down 82 lbs since then. I'm loving life and excited for all the new things I'm doing. I workout 5-6 times a week.. Please let me know how you all are doing..
  8. I'm so excited and I want to tell everyone but I can't.. I've decided to keep this journey of my life very personal to close friends and my immediate family. I'm so happy that I belong to such a great support system such as this group. I wanted to know if there are any vegetarians out there. My hubby and I have been vegetarian for over 8 months.
  9. Wow, I haven't been on BP since this post. Well here is an update, I arrived in TJ on March 1, 2016 and had surgery on March 2, 2016 everything went extremely well for me. I didn't suffer with any issues after surgery, I walked an hour after and pretty much felt like nothing happened, surgery wise. I started my Pre-Pre-op diet on Jan 15,2016 since then I have lost a total of 82 lbs. It is amazing, I feel like I got my life back. I am at the gym 5-6 times a week, I am getting all my protien with shakes and my veggies. I did have an issue with my pancreas, but my doctor's said it wasn't related to my sleeve.
  10. I leave on Tuesday to Tijuana with Dr. Garcia, I'll let you know how everything goes. I started a IG account, it's private right now I haven't told me people about it just yet. My family is supportive and I'm excited, nervous and calm all at the same time. I also decided not to tell anyone at work but my close friend. I work with all women and I don't want to hear any negative comments. Many.... My IG account is VegMex_VSG..
  11. Hola everyone, I'm Mexican my one worry is not being able to eat spicy food again. I love our traditional food and our culture. [emoji631][emoji1166]

  17. March 2, I just finished my first week of my Pre-op diet.. Omg, seriously difficult..
  18. Yes!! Your doing great..
  19. I'm 6 days into my Pre-op the doctor gave me 3 weeks of this and so far so good. These last two days have been a challenge with treats at work. Mind over matter, right..
  20. No I didn't tell her I was planning to go to Mexico but that I wanted to have the gastric sleeve surgery. She was excited for my new journey and said she would help with recommendations. I knew my insurance wouldn't cover the surgery. I've been wanting to have the surgery and did all my research with many doctors in Tijuana. There are plenty out there with many all inclusive plans. I really liked the doctor I chose which is Dr. Garcia with everything and due to my weight it is $5000.00. I hope I answered your questions, please let me know if there is anything else I can help you with.
  21. Hi I live in SLC, I see ST Marks Family Medicine. I'm heading to Mexico next month, my insurance doesn't cover surgery ..
