  1. Try this kind Isopure! It dissolves in everything no thickening and I can not taste it at all! Has been a lifesaver! I got it at The Vitamin Shoppe but others have said GNC has it also.
  2. Half a grilled ham and cheese boy do I wish! Lol. I FINALLY finished the one packet of oatmeal I made this morning smdh
  3. How much can you eat and how often? I'm having a hard time. They say "stop when you feel full" but I always feel stuffed!! Today I only had 30oz fluid (8oz of that a protein shake) and about 6 baby spoonfuls of food. Only at 350 calories for the day!! And not even close to my protein but I don't feel like I can squeeze in anymore. How did you feel a week out? I also test foods have not gotten nauseated once knock on wood.
  4. It took me 5 days after surgery to have my first BM
  5. I had my surgery 2/18 I get full very easily. 4 baby spoonfuls and I'm done! Sugar free Popsicles seem easier to get fluids in but I limit two a day maybe try that. Yogurt (which I did not like before surgery) is the easiest on my stomach. Hope that helps!
  6. How are you feeling?Where are you from? And how are you doing? I think you were a month ahead of me if I remember correctly?
  7. Much better! Days 3 & 4 were awful but now I can get out of bed and off the couch with no pain. It only hurts to cough.
  8. How did everyone do?? I was sleeved on the 18th doing much better today. Tomorrow I start purees!! Yeah baby!!
  9. Ashland City here!! Had my surgery on Thursday with Dr. Westmoreland
  10. I chose Dr. Westmoreland because I had to be self pay and he had the best reviews and best price. I believe he is a surgeon at St. Thomas Rutherford but don't hold me to that. He does his self pay clients at Heritage Medical in Shelbyville. I LOVED everything about working with his team they were all fabulous from start to finish!!
  11. How are you doing? My pain is much better I only took one dose of pain meds today. I can now get out of bed or off the couch with little to no pain. But coughing still stinks! Hope your doing better as well
  12. Can we add fiber to our water this early on? 1wk post op.
  13. How soon after your surgery did you have a bowel movement? I had one morning of surgery 2/18 but have not had one since.
  14. I am having a hard time getting off the bed or recliner because I get a shooting pain whenever I do. What helped for me was putting one of my kitchen chairs next to me and using that to pull myself up a certain way to minimize the pain.
  15. I was sleeved 2 days ago and having severe pain above my belly button and to the right whenever I try to stand from sitting or cough. It's like someone is sticking a knife in and twisting. Or even ripping yikes! Anyone else experience this? Any tips?
  16. My surgery was not bad at all! I expected way worse. As soon as I was conscious I took Gas X strips and will continue every 4 hrs. So far no severe gas pain. I have walked the halls 2x and drank some tea and Gatorade, about 1-2ounces every 1/2 hour. I am using a little 1 ounce medicine cup and dip it onto my glass this way I am just sipping and I can make sure I don't drink too much. I have not been nauseous.
  17. I lost about 15lbs on my 2wk pre op diet and my understanding was it is a way to heal your liver and allow a safer easier surgery for the doctor. It really wasn't too bad but I also was sick for part of it and didn't feel like eating anyways. If I were you I would try to stick with a low carb/ low sugar and high protein diet now until your surgery. It will not only allow you to have an easier surgery but give you an idea on the new lifestyle and food choices you will be making after surgery. I am actually glad I did it. I will be sleeved tomorrow here in TN.
  18. I sure hope so because I bought a lot of high protein things!! Has anyone discussed this with their Dr? Curious what mine will say. I will keep y'all posted!
  19. I have read on multiple sites that your body can not process more than 20-30g of protein at one time. So needless to say I am going to stop trying to purchase expensive very high protein products and stick to ones under 30g.
  20. I passed!! No fluid in my lungs. Surgery on Thursday I'm so happy I could cry!
  21. wow you look great no loose skin!!
  22. Susan from Nashville, TN Gastric Sleeve scheduled 2/18/16
  23. Hopefully having my sleeve surgery this Thursday the 18th. I came down with walking pneumonia 2 wks ago and the surgeon wants to see me tomorrow to see if he hears fluid in my lungs. Any fluid then surgery is postponed until April. ???????? Stinks if that is the case because I will have to do the 2wk liquid diet all over again.
