  1. Yay, me! Lol. I just figured out I don't have to unfasten my button and zipper to get my pants down! Too funny.
  2. Whoo Hoo and Happy Birthday!!
  3. Sounds like you're doing great! Enjoy your vacation.
  4. Not Dr. Almanza. Dr. Altamirano is the Dr. A I believe she means and he is wonderful.
  5. Sounds like a good idea to me. Amino acids are the building blocks for protein. I think ill get some myself.
  6. No problem at all doing that.
  7. My insurance doesn't cover them but my Flexible Spending does with a prescription.
  8. My, how do you fit it all in? I mentioned I'm still preop. But it looks "normal" to order.
  9. You look fabulous, congrats on your success so far!
  10. Great thread! I'm still preop but so far I've lucked out in going to restaurants that serve Breakfast all day. I can eat part of an omelette with a side of berries or just get an egg with a side of ham. It's not perfect, but it works at this point.
  11. Great news, congratulations!
  12. Welcome! I am actually glad my date is in January (my choice) because it gives me the time I need to wrap my head around everything. I really enjoy going through all the posts here to get different opinions and perspectives on things. Good luck to you!!
  13. Are you sure it's a whole bottle of Miralax?
  14. My doctor wants the weight loss to start immediately and not have food funerals. This is going to be a lifestyle change. As soon as I made the decision to have WLS, I made most of the changes necessary. This was even before I had my Skype appointment with him. Everyone is different though, and I can certainly understand wanting things one more time. I still have Christmas to get through!
  15. There truly is a danger to opening extended release medication. You can overdose yourself. It is meant to be slowly absorbed as it works its way through your system. When you open it, you can dose yourself all at once. Your blood levels of the medication aren't steady after that either. Please don't open ER or SR (sustained release) pills. Be safe!
  16. I have always loved Diet Pepsi, to the point that if Coke products were being served I would just have water. Since their "recipe" has just changed and a differently sweetener is being used, I can't stand Diet Pepsi. It's way too sweet. It's probably a good coincidence for me but I'll probably just stick to Crystal Light or ice water from now on.
  17. Glad things went well for you!
  18. Great pics, congrats!
  19. Congrats. Different surgeons have different diets so you'll have to ask yours. Good luck!
  20. I'm happy I did very well today. I'm in pre preop mode. I had to have a roll because my daughter spent 3 1/2 hours making them! It was delicious and my favorite part of the meal. I skipped the potatoes, dressing and pumpkin pie but enjoyed turkey and asparagus. Back to the grindstone in the morning. I hope I do as well at Christmas. Thanks for the tips.
  21. Be true to yourself. If this is where your heart leads you, go for it!
