Update/stupid decisions/ what should I do?
TinyTink replied to Elode's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I'm sure I bought our orthodontist a new car over the years! And now three of them don't wear their retainers. Grrrr. They are grown now so it'll be on them. Sounds like you've got the situation covered. I'm glad!! -
Can you tell us more? Have you had surgery? On the preop diet? How long has this been going on? Are you getting your fluids? Are you maybe in caffeine withdrawal? Sorry....gotta start somewhere.

Update/stupid decisions/ what should I do?

I'm an experienced "my kids have braces" mom with my fourth child currently having them. I considered jumping on the bandwagon too and I was told that adult teeth and palate move just as fast as a child or teen. Do you have time to get a second opinion? Two of mine had the spacers and then the little implant you crank every night. I'd hate for you to have surgery unless it's what you really want. And you're so tiny now! -
Welcome! Lots of great people here. I'm in the States.

You look terrific! Now go grab your earmuffs to stay warm. -
Out of curiosity, why are you against the Fitbit? I Mic have the Charge HR in purple and I love it. I only wish it was waterproof. I find it to be very accurate, good software, tells me exactly how many minutes my rate is in the zone, etc.

BLIS? What does that stand for? Thanks. -
I just bought a few months of the Vitamin Patches they have in the store here. Transdermal is supposed to be better absorbed so that's what I'm going with for now. The price is very comparable.

I second the Sabra, especially the roasted red pepper one. It's not hot! And you can frequently find coupons for this one. -
NSV is non scale victory! And the pouch test is what some people try if they are in a stall or to get back on track. You go back to all liquids and move on quickly from there.

I'm keeping you in my prayers. You are a conqueror! -
Are you having head hunger instead of physical hunger? I know psychologically I'm going to need to make some adjustments. You may also be just thirsty.

11 pounds in a month is awesome! Congratulations. Everyone loses at their own pace. As long as you're following your eating plan you'll do great. Make sure you get your Protein in every day.

"Chemical" Stress Test....Weird!
TinyTink replied to bugsy72's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Sounds like she had a Sestamibi stress test, which is nuclear. I've always loved that word. It sounds like a vacation. -
Water water water...
TinyTink replied to chilepeppr4's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I'm so glad I'm having VSG in the winter. I can't imagine trying to keep up with Water requirements in the summer on top of surgery. -
I'm absolutely nervous about the procedure. I am not good with surgery at all. And I wake up hysterically crying and disoriented afterwords and I just hate it. Nervous bordering on terror. I still have some time to get it in my pea-brain to relax. Good luck to you!

Glad to hear you're doing better. Now you're LIVING!
