    Struggling through complications

So sorry you had a complication. I hope you're feeling much better very soon.

    New me

You really look terrific. And take this as a compliment...your glossy black hair reminds me of Snow White. And you've even shed a dwarf!

    Approved

Getting approved is the important thing. I know how frustrating it can be to deal with staff that are unprofessional but don't let them get to you. Sometimes you have to be proactive. I don't know how you've resisted calling yourself. I would have been on the phone in a heartbeat. Congrats on your approval though. That's great news!

    Starved!

Thanks!!! Was this before or after WLS? I talked to my OBGYN already about the vitamins. I'm going to get a little extra bloodworm done to make sure all of my blood levels look appropriate. He wasn't concerned about it, but I'm extra cautious as it is about them. It was before, seeing as I'm still preop LOL. I just wanted you to know that babies can still thrive under less than ideal circumstances. You'll both be fine.

    My story

Congrats on your loss and getting back on track.

    I hate protein shakes

I was going to suggest the unflavored Unjury also. Lots of ways you can use it to bump up your protein.

    You are in my prayers!

    Just got my approval!

Congratulations! I'm sure it was a relief to get approved.

    Yayy!

    Yay! I'm happy for you.

    Starved!

Congratulations on your pregnancy. I had hyperemesis with two of my children and lost more than 30 pounds each pregnancy. I couldn't keep anything down and needed iv fluids. My doctor assured me that the baby will take what it needs from my body and be fine...and they were! In fact, one was almost 9 pounds. Make sure you get your vitamins daily.

ROFL I gotta say I love those lips!

    Addicted to BP

Who me? Yep, I'm addicted too, but this is a healthy addiction. I'm sure at some point it will taper off but I don't anticipate that being for well over a year from now. There's too much to learn and share to leave so quickly.
  14. Oh goodness! You are in my thoughts and prayers.

    One week post op sleeve

Congrats on your surgery and weight loss so far! I'm looking forward to being in the same club soon. I'm glad you're feeling a bit better now and wish you much success.
  16. Those are valid feelings but you need to remember that you're doing something to improve your health!! It's likely one of the best decisions you've made in your lifetime. Does your program include counseling? Maybe a few sessions will help you feel better about the situation.

    Pickle joy no more?

I just came from the store and I couldn't find any of the sugar-free bread and butter pickles, gosh darnit! But my baby dills were on sale so I stocked up.
  18. Terrific, that's great news.

    Beyond happy with my surgery!

Way to go! I'm very happy for you!

    Pickle joy no more?

Pickled green beans are good too. We call them dilly beans here.

    Pre-op Dieters, check in!

Well, I'm on my pre pre op diet. I'm trying to lose 20 more pounds before my surgery date and that will include the two weeks of fluids only. I'm down 13 so far.
  22. It's not a total failure. Resisting temptation is HUGE! You're exercising and following your plan. Those are all successes. I'm guessing your body is just reorganizing itself and you'll see the numbers changing again very soon.
  23. Please don't skip them unless you have your doctors okay. You don't want a blood clot, trust me on that. Consider it as part of the process and make sure you don't contribute to a complication that's easily avoided.
