Stray Observations a Few Days Out...
TinyTink replied to NewLifeFinny's topic in Gastric Bypass Surgery Forums
I just love your humor. This brightened my day. You should start a journal for all of your funny anecdotes. -
My Gastric Sleeve Nightmare.... I still haven't woken up!

Sadly, sometimes a cure is too much to ask for. I just want you to be comfortable!! Hugs -
"Chemical" Stress Test....Weird!
TinyTink replied to bugsy72's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
When you have your surgery you might want to ask for an ultraviolet light guided IV, or as for anesthesia to do it. I'm sure one of those options are available but if not, ask for the most experienced nurse to start you. No need to suffer with more pokes that necessary! I'm rootin' for ya! -
Good for you! Glad you shared an update.

I'm so sorry to hear of your problems. I hope you can find a neurologist who specializes in neuralgia/neuropathy. I do wish you the best. And you look absolutely beautiful...in both pics. -
Are your instructions to start with the mushy foods already? I go from Clear liquids to full liquids to mushy to food. Your surgeon knows what's best for you.

You'll get there, don't worry. Keep us posted.

Survey - at what point did you get your drivers license/ID photo retaken?
TinyTink replied to Daisee68's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Good question. Now I'm wondering about the passport photo I had done yesterday for my Mexico surgery trip. I don't want to be stuck somewhere a couple years from now looking so fabulous they won't let me pass! Lol -
The world needs more people like you. Thanks for your motivation.

Does anyone still take these postop or are they too big? Definitely bigger than an M&M.

Do the drops help? How strong is the flavor?
-
I take them on my own instead of Naproxen. They are just very large and that is my concern. Thanks! Chewable? I'm not sure I could handle that. LOL. I'll have to try them though. Thanks for the heads up.

It's Turmeric and it's a spice but helps with inflammation.

Too big to fly?
TinyTink replied to charleywatson's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
Gosh, that still seems so long. Why don't you ask your surgeon how he feels about a car ride of that length? -
7 days since surgery, very rocky start

Too big to fly?
TinyTink replied to charleywatson's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
Oh my! That long a drive would just about kill me. You're also increasing your risk for blood clots if you spend all that time in the car and you can't take aspirin to help. Are you having surgery in Tijuana? That's south of California, not Texas. People fly into San Diego. As for plane seats, the standard ones are about 16 inches across, and first class is 21 inches. There's usually a console kind of thing dividing seats so you shouldn't infringe on anyone. Do a google image search for First Class plane seats with the airline you're considering. -
Glad to hear things went well for you.

Unquestionable difference. You can absolutely tell.
