mine gave me demerol and I was allergic I threw up everytime and every lap bander knows throwing up is a NO NO!! no stretching of stomach muscles and espoahgus here! lol I think a couple nights ago I woke up in pain and finally took some liquid tylenol but pain medicine makes me nervous regardless

swap it up. weights help tighten and cardio shakes it off. don't kill yourself but like 45 minutes a day will definatley be a plus! doing different things also help you shed the lbs quicker!

push the protein...it should help some. and make sure when your not eating to drink water and no calorie drinks. and chew gum that always helps if I ever get hungry. How much weight have you lost so far?

thanks...I've had plenty of restriction lol no fill yet but I am hoping to get one soon. I can barely eat half a piece of pizza...and I am sick lol I watch other people eat and it amazes me that I too used to eat that much....it nauesates me! But if I can help with anything let me know! :smile:

go with what your doctor says their is a reason he's the doctor and the nurse is just a nurse :smile:

Is see the point..honestly I do but one; its act of the devil ( the rape is) and two; I don't think that the government should step in...but I just think it's a horrible subject and I know that's life but I base my decision and bias (cause that's really what it is if were totally honest with ourselves) on my beliefs and upbringing. I was adopted by my father so that's why I believe that adoption is a great thing. Its touchy and I just feel the way I do. I am not saying that it should be outlawed or illegal because truthfully I dunno what it should be but I do take into account others beliefs and stand points because not everyone is the same.

white people aren't the only ones who use the word to clear that up...I have alot of black friends who are offended by it but call each other that. And some of them could careless because they know that they are not N WORDS, the N-word by definition means ignorant and ANYONE can be that ignorant!! Racism pisses me off to no end! I don't know why people can't just love people because of who they are!! People discriminate over everything...your too skinny, your too fat, your to tall, your to short, your colored, your white, your gay, your straight, your male, your female, your this, your that....GET OVER IT PEOPLE GOD MADE US ALL DIFFERENT FOR A REASON. If we all looked and acted the same, life would be boring!!

my doctor just had me on normal food but low carb, the pre-op is just so your liver shrinks for surgery. Unless he said it was imparative I would eat a little!

well If it makes you feel any better I went through my whole surgery without pain meds...so you should be fine

yeh I had the pain in my chest as well from the gas....it's good to move around but also moving too much will make you hurt even more...so just take it easy, take some meds, and use the heating pad!

I share my success so hopefully some of them decide to have it done. One of my cousin whom is bigger than I was when I started this journey is already scheduled to attend a seminar. I am not gonna hide my happiness of the success I have had. If I offend someone by it's only because of their jealousy and insecurity!! We're poteintally saving our lives here how can you turn your back on someone who made a life changing decision and underwent MAJOR surgery? I just think those people whom turned their back are selfish and cold and she didn't need them anyway even though they were family. I wouldn't call that a mother! You can't be heartless and be a mom it's impossible it your a heartless mom you were only an incubator!! I pray for the girl and her family because that's horrible!!

don't take demerol...and if you must make SURE you use the fenergan with it! throwing up will be the outcome...my doctor sent me home with this after my surgery and I threw up everytime I took it so after the first day post-op I went without pain medicine and delt with the pain!

Gosh men are weird!! lol I think I know who most of them will vote for Mitt Romney cause he's mormon and they have more than 1 wife!! grr!! I guess I am just bitter. I don't like being that way but I don't like the fact of letting him go. He's been like a best friend and has been there for me through most of really tough times in my life I guess that is why it's so hard and I was with him through alot of hard times for him so I guess its just a scary thing neither of us wants to let go....

its so weird cause I know that if I had someone I loved at home with me, I wouldn't want to worry about someone who lives an hour or so away and then spend money on them too. I just don't get it. lol He may be getting cake at home but he's not getting it here. If ya get my drift. And he knows as long as their together he wont be getting cake! We've already had that discussion and I put my foot down. But he insist that it's not sex he wants from me...he says that he can't imagine losing the friendship that we established when we were together and he loves personality and free spirit. He cried when I told him I was leaving and we didn't need to talk anymore, but of course he talked me out of that decisions again.

I have never heard that!! I was on liquid for 2 weeks and I am in mushy stage. The main reason they want people to go easy is so the band can settle and get used to stuff going through it. And trust me you'll have restriction even before your first feel I can't even eat a whole slice of pizza and I had my done 12/21/07 over 2 weeks ago. I definately can't eat whatever I want to cause my stomach doesn't agree. you need to get your mindset to I can't eat whatever I want. I did this for a reason and I am gonna stick to health food that are easy to chew and get through the band otherwise you'll go back to old eating habits and completely have the lap band done for no reason. I know because I have had to tell myself the same thing. You've got to get your head and stomach on the same page. Hope this helps ya!
