I went to eat today. I ordered roasted chicken and sauteed veggies. It came with a side salad. Nothing i ate agreed with my band. BUT mysteriously....a slice of pizza went down without any problems! Grrrrrrr! This happens more often than I'm willing to admit. Anyhow, we receny moved and I'm looking for a new dr to manage my care. Any kind thoughts or suggestions??

I'm wondering how many calories everyone is eating. Also how much weight have you lost?
-
that is awesome. How many calories are u eating? I'm just curiousThis past week marked my six month anniversary of my LapBand surgery and really could not be any happier. After year after year of watching my weight go up and up and my waist getting bigger and bigger. That is all ancient history. After these past six months I watched my waist go from a size 58-60 to a 42. So far in these six months I have lost 97 pounds.
I am putting this out there so all you newbies not to feel discouraged at first. As long as you follow your dr.s orders keep your caloric intake at 1200 calories and some exercise you will see amazing results as well.
Enjoy your journey and expect great results on the way!

Does anyone count calories as well?? If so...what foods are you eating? Portions?

I've "started over" many times. I guess i get lazy and sorta give up. But i get ReMotivated and start over...drinking mostly liquids...then creamies..etc. I've been banded since 2004. I initially SLOWLY lost about 30lbs. I've had 3 kiddos since my band and still have 100lbs to loose. 280/243/145
