I'm out. My arrival time was 515. Surgery at 715. Very tired. Hope your experience was s good am mine yall
-
I've been semi good on the diet. I've lost 6lbs. But I'm low bmi so I'm not expected to lose alot.
-
He said that basically my boobs are big and that they didn't put the leads for the EKG in the right spot. I'm good! Wooohooooď
-
I'm going to a different state. I'm in TN, I'm flying to TX. This morning is my appointment for cardiac clearance. Wish me luck!
-
How are yall doing? I'm packing and preparing anyway, just in case. If he clears me I'm gonna have to make a mad dash to get to the plane ontime.
Yall packed yet?
-
He said it would be about 80% I think the "%" depends on how bug your stomach is at the time of surgery. Because the stomach is able to stretch it's hard to pinpoint an exact percentage I would think.
Yeah if it's serious, then I would be okay, but I'm pretty sure it isn't serious. I'm 28, lower bmi and 0 history of heart problems.
-
I will I'm kind of freaking cause it will cost me ALOT of money to reschedule. Like a grand. ????
I'm hoping it's nothing serious and he sees all is well on monday morning and let's me leave as planned! I'm trying to keep my mind off it. It's more difficult that I thought, it seems to be all I'm focusing on....
Is it Monday yet?

That EKG was a blip in time. The new doc will repeat it. It could have been a blip and the new one could be clear. You may just have an abnormal wave. It could be sooooooooo many things. But if it's a sign of something more severe, you don't want to have a heart event or a stroke under anesthesia and durning surgery that you've traveled for. I hoping it was a blip or a functional murmur that the cardiologist can hear. Good luck!
This is my hope. That it's something simple. If its a serious issue Then of course that will be different. But I'm fairly positive this is not anything serious. This makes me feel better! Thank you!

It may be lactose intolerance. I know that's common. GENEPRO and Isopure are both okay for dairy issues if it's dairy then you may be struggling to process the regular when protien, but whey isolate is safe for people like me
Btw If you want to try the genepro you can order samples
-
I like Isopure and GENEPRO. I have to have whey isolate because I'm lactose intolerant. Isopure is really good mixed with almond milk. GENEPRO only comes flavorless.
Isopure - 1 scoop has 110 calories, 3 gram carb, 0 sugars, 25g protien.
Genepro - 1 scoop has 98 calories, 0 carbs, 0 sugars, 30g protien.

@@KarenDM I actually have found the perfect answer. I have been telling people that the time off I'm taking is for the hernia fix. Well turns out someone in my department had the hernia fix when he was in the military and he said he lost a ton of weight after and was on liquids for a while and ate much smaller meals etc. So I plan to use that excuse!
-
I will! Thanks for the insight
-
I told them when I scheduled the appointment. I plan to belay this to the doctor as well

I'm hoping since I'm 28, with a lower bmi, and low blood pressure, and 0 family history of a heart issues at all, that i might have a glimmer of hope..... I'm not putting too much into it though. Gah. They've had the results for almost a week. Why wait until now to tell me when I'm so close to my surgery date ????
-
I hope I could get whatever tests he needs that day. I'm in freak out mode.
-
I'm taking 2 weeks off. I know there's typically a lifting restiction for 6 weeks.
All my work may have been in vain. I wont know for sure until Monday but I may have to reschedule. They JUST TOLD ME today that my EKG was abnormal and I'll need to see a cardiologist first to get clearance for surgery. I have an appointment on Monday morning but if he doesn't clear me that day then I cant have mine done ????????????????
-
So I was originally told by the tech that everything with my EKG was fine.....
Well I found out today that it was abnormal and they require a cardiologist to sign off of the surgery for clearance for the anesthesiologist to put me under.....
WELL my surgery is tuesday and if I can't get clearance by then I'll have to reschedule. Which wouldn't be a big deal, but I'm traveling for this and the cost to change flights is very expensive and it's hard for me to get time off work as well.
So that being said, I managed to find a cardiologist that can see me Monday morning. I'm curious to see if I'll he able to get this clearance in one day? Or if it will take multiple visits?
Has anyone had their EKG come back abnormal and had to see a cardiologist? How long does this process take? Should I still hold out hope that I can keep my tuesday surgery date? Any experience is welcome.
P.s. sorry for the novel.

Hi! Great idea!
My surgeon doesn't require me to do preop diet. I don't have any kids either. Just busy working on a deadline, and trying to get taxes done. I feel like I should be doing a million other things. But, no time.
How about you? Do the kids known about the surgery?
I feel like I'm running out of time too! I was told I wouldn't be required to do a pre op cause I'm lower bmi, but I asked for the plan. From what I read the lower your surgery weight more overall % you can lose.
My kids are too young. They don't know. I have one more day of work! I'm getting excited! I have to get though tomorrow. Run a billion errands on saturday. Spend a lazy day with the family on sunday.... then finish packing.
Are yalls out patient?

I don't get Soups im keeping my limit under 900 calories a day. I'm doing fairly well so far. I found that taking an acid reducer helps with hunger.... wierd, I know.

This is a post for us 23rd sleevers to keep in contact!
Hey yall! Are yall prepping? I know Yadie has kids. I do too. 6 and almost 8.
-
Let's make a new thread for Feb 23rd! That way we can keep In touch!
-
My surgery is on the 23rd as well! Let's be buddies!
-
I found a company in texas that will test for a hiatal hernia and will bill your insurance for the hernia if you have one. You just pay out of pocket for the sleeve itself. It's taken about 6-8 weeks from when I started the process until getting my surgery. Email me if you'd like some more info

@@AnnainMS I found a doc in dallas that is willing to bill my insurance for the hernia and then just have me pay out of pocket for the sleeve itself. It's going to cost me about $2500 over my max out of pocket. All in all it ends up being less than going to Mexico. And my insurance covers my NUT appointments 100%. I do them via video confrence.
I fly into dallas in 10 days to get my sleeve!
