    Disappointed

    I know how you all feel! Dont give up...... Well today ( 11/11/09 ) I made it to the doctors office... I weighted in @ 345 so I had to reset my ticker.. It came out 5 lbs over so I will call my start date today. My blood pressure was good, no issues there. I took a look at my chart and my last visit was on 8/5/08 my weight then 287.7 lbs.. Man that hit me.. I could not believe I let myself go that way! I saw a New PA and she was cool. I told her my issue and she said thats ok, time to start over a new beginning. I thought that was nice of what she said with a 57 lbs weight gain.. After a brief discussion she began to feel for my port but could not find it. She went to get the other PA ( who I have seen before ) and after he saw my chart you would think he would say glad to see you here, instead he says" what happen " I said long story.. That was a turn off... anyway I think she will be my contact person there from now on....They found the port and recovered only 6 cc of Fluid. My last visit he got it up to 9.cc, so it was a little concerning about the 3. 5 cc disappearance. He said hopefully it just demish, but was concern that just maybe I would have a leak. I now have 7cc in my LAP-BAND®.. I have another appt on 12/2/09 and they will check to see how many CC I have then. I will also attend an aftercare/support class... On is Bariatric essentials ( basically a refresher on what to eat/ how much/etc) and the other is Emotional Eating.. This will be all done on the same day since the doctors office is 1.5 hrs from where I live.. Hope to lose 6 lbs bt next visit!

  4. Hello Everyone Well its been awhile since I have been on the site so here is a little history. I had the lap-band on 12/13/05. My weight at the time was 320 Lbs,However my highest weight was 362 lbs. I was doing great. Working out everyday and watching what I was eating. I got down to 268 at that on 4/17/06. I was working out in the morning, my diet was good. Then I had a schedule Change. My work hours now was 8x5..my work out was nothing and my bad habits came back. My doctors visit also decline so I have not had a fill for over a year. I balloon up to 344 lbs and I hate it. Well its time to get back to work. I e-mailed the PA today and hope to get a fill within two weeks. I planed my work out schedule so hope to comply with it. Now I need to plan my diet.. I will look at the forums to see what Lap banners are eating and hope to follow. Any support/advice would be appreciated.     1st. 100lbs off

    What ever you are doing, keep doing it.. Make sure to keep your Dr Visit even if it is just to check your weight and BP.. Trust me after going from 320 to 268 lbs, then regaining all my weight back plus an extra 20 it sucks.... Now I am starting over again...My problem I stop working out and did not keep my Dr. Appt...for fills and started eating the wrong foods... I am now going to the DR office every month even if it is just to get weight in.!!!!

    Old bandster needs help!!

    HI Mic I am in the same boat. Had the band place on 12/13/05 weight was 320 lbs... Got down to 268 lbs.. Today 340 lbs.. I too broke the rules did not go to the Dr office for follow ups and fills, stop working out and started eating the wrong foods... I gained everything back and then plus some. Its awful... Well today after over a year I called and made a Dr's appt to get checked out and hope to get a fill. I am also going in Dec to a class for emotional eating. Hope to get back on track..     Thanks Deekel... support is good.. I did not keep up with my fills/ dr office visit.. so make sure to keep up with it... Thanks noosagirl- I will try the veggies and Fruit thing... I have put my program together for weight training and will be heading to the gym on saturday... That is what help me 2 loose weight the first time to include treadmill work ... did 1-3 miles a day...

  11. Dont give up and hang in there..I have regained my weight and it sucks...I rather take the slow weight loss then the gain... Keep up with your fill as needed and talk to people. .. After losing weight and buying new clothes it was great, what stinks is gaining the weight, feeling lousy and buying clothes again cuz I threw my old ones away!

  13. I will try to keep it simple: My information is listed below. I did well for a minute and my lowest weight was 268 lbs. During this time I worked out in the morning and worked in the afternoon. My diet was good.I keeped it simple. When my schedule changed I started working from 8AM to 5PM. I was tired when I went home so I stooped working out. My diet took a turn and my eating habits went out of control. I regain my weight and plus. I am looking for a mentor basically for my eating habit...Someone who can suggest daily menu. I don't do Breakfast, just lunch, dinner and a snack... If you think you can help,please let me know. Note: I know I have to get another fill, so I like to lose some weight before I go. I already now what they are going to tell me so I really don't want to hear it! Thanks!   18. Hello It has band awhile since I posted. I have been making wrong food choices and have re-gain my weight and plus.... I noticed yesterday for lunch I had a few pieces of chicken and that was it. I could not eat any more. About 30 minutes later I threw up. I know the band is working.. again with my weight gain its about wrong food choices. Well time to start up again. I weighted in this morning at 333.6 lbs ( sucks )... Goal weight 200 lbs My lowest after being banded was 269 lbs back in 5-16-06. I had no issues weighting my food then and working out was a biggie for me . Did it all the time in the past, and have to do it now.

    Need Help

    Hi Everyone I will make this short and simple. In Dec 2005 I had the lap band. My weight at the time was 320 lbs. I got down to 267 lbs as of 4/17/06. I was doing well, working out and eating right. Well I have regained my weight. Not eating right and not working out. The last time I went for a fill I was 295 lbs and that was about 8 months ago. I would hate to go back weighting more then I should. With the weather starting to get warm I need to get back on track. First I need some help, would like to know what is your basic menu and how much do you eat ( as in oz).. That would be a great start... PS- I will also make an appt for a fill! Thanks for your help!     Hi Bunnygirl does your insurance cover your nutritionist visits? Yes it does.....However The doctors office is 2 hours away..That is one reason I did not go especially with the gas prices being so high....Sine the prices have come down, I will be able to go get my fills...
