  1. So how many ppl are swallowing pills or capsules. I don't know why they say don't but I want to know of others can. Because I cannot stomach some of the capsules opened... Like my b50 is nasty or my antacid capsule.

Can I swallow them or should I still opened them? Same with my ursidol for the gallbladder I cannot take it crushed

I can swallow decent sized pills but on an empty stomach they make me sick. My nut told me thats the only exception to drinking when eating is to take that Vitamin. I have a few different chews from Bariatric Advantage my favotrites from the 250 are lemon and raspberry and from the 500 the orange.

  2. I'm 2 weeks post op and I feel sick to my stomach. I don't want to eat or drink anything and I have a nasty taste in my mouth. What could be wrong? I was fine last week. Getting scared now.

could you be hitting ketosis post-surgery as opposed to pre-surgery? Sounds like "carb flu", especially with the metallic taste in your mouth…
What is carb-flu? They just hooked me up to a IV and have me drinking a drink so the can do a CT scan.
    Hope all is ok

  3. I have been drinking propel at least every other day. It is zero calories too. Yesterday, all of a sudden I got this really uncomfortable pain. Like a very sore muscle of course under my large incision. I don't know if I did too much yesterday or what. I have my 2 week post op spot so I can bring it up then.

Was the pain almost like a pulling sensation?

Yes, I think when I reach up it definitely hurts, but even getting up and down now hurts more than it did this past weekend.
A few of us have gotten that pain. I only experienced it getting up. One member said she held a pillow against herself while she got up. The pulling sensation lasted on and off for a little over 3 weeks for me.

  5. I've been fine with cooking.

I got upset because my husband was going to order out because I had class. The fact that he was ordering out didn't bother me it was his list of possibilities he was rambling about. I said in the nicest possible way I didn't care I didn't want to know. But then he decided out loud he was getting pizza. That made me upset I got angry at first then sad and to top it off I'm not even a pizza person. Lol.

  6. Thanks!! Glad to know that others feel depressed. I'm so cut off from the world. Love this group. Only you guys get it. ☺️

It's normal. This group is the best. Here want to feel better. My first cry was over a sportsbra.

I have an incision between my breasts so I couldn't wear a regular bra and had to get a sportsbra no wire and barely any support.

I balled my eyes out because I felt it made my boobs look ugly and I had to leave the house like that.

It's funny now but it wasn't then.

The sadness passes and will before you know it.

  7. No. Only after two sips I get the tightness. I'm completely repealed by food and drink. I know this will improve but I'm getting depressed.

I'm sipping today no matter what.

Scared of ending up back in the hospital.

I think everyone goes through a little depression. I know I did my hormones were everywhere except where they should have been.

My surgeon said one sip wait 3 min take another sip if you can sip again in 3 min do it and keep that up until you can sip anymore, then wait 20min and try again if you cant then 30min.

  8. I'm one week out and going crazy. I'm very weak. Don't want to sip ever again. I know I'm dehydrated. Went 6 hours without drinking yesterday. Just slept. Boy did I pay for that one. So bored too.

How do you guys keep your energy up?

In the beginning you feel like you don't want to do anything but deep down you know you have to. I would go to the store, just for little things Powerade zero or Vitamin Water zeros but enough for one day so I could do it again the next day. You feel better when you start moving more. You will get short of breath fast but take your time, it isn't a race. Your body is stronger than you initially think. Maybe even getting up to walk up and down a hallway or from room to room if the store feels like too much.

I walked in the mall 3 days post op it took a lot out of me but I felt better. As far as sipping goes I think it's different for everyone, maybe set a timer for sipping so you can remind yourself you need this so sip sip sip. Hope these tips help
