  1. I don't know Juanito. Our coordinator's name is Omar. We went to the coast about 40 minutes away could be what your talking about

    Hi Catlynk and RNYoYo

Thanks so much for thinking of me ! I'm doing well , just lurching to the end of the school year, two more weeks . Had so many issues with my IBS lately that I've stopped eating just about everything. liquid diet starts in a few days. Hope everything goes well for you!

    every thing went great! Thanks!

  2. Hi Tommy!

Congratulations on your decision! I'm a revision lap band to sleeve October 5, 2015.

My daughter Alexandra is scheduled for surgery with Dr. Illian June 6.

I had mine done in the states but she is 17, three months shy of 18. And not only will my insurance not cover it because she's not 18 the hospitals won't do it if I pay cash, if they are board-certified because of their insurance, until she's 18. She'll be a senior in high school next year and really can't take the time off after she turns 18 to get the surgery done. So I'm going to direct her to this thread so she and you and others here on this platform can get to know one another and talk about upcoming life-changing experience.

  3. Cat. We are so close. Lap band revision . Sleeved Oct 9. Down 46 pounds. Congrats on your weight loss.

Sent from my SM-N915V using the BariatricPal App

Yes I remember your a revision too! And our weight loss is the same! Isn't that good to know! Sometimes I feel like the The tortoise in the race with the hare.

I'm 5'4", female current weight 216, I can almost touch Onederland, but it will take me about 2 more months to get there.

    How about you?

    Catherine

  4. I had my band out in June 2014 and just had the sleeve done Nov. 12. I am losing but pretty slowly. That is fine but just wondered if those of you that are revisions, and female, about how many calories do you consume to continue losing and did you find that you have to add exercise too to keep losing. I plan to add exercise in when they release me to do so but feel like my metabolism is very slow from having the band prior. Any thoughts are welcome.

Sorry, I'm just seeing this now, I consume no more than 800 cal on most days with some days 600 and occasional days 1000.

My average loss is about 1.5 pounds a week, pulse, I walk/jog for 30 min 6x a week.

  5. So--- on March 1st of 2015 I walked into the introductory meeting on WLS. I walked out of the meeting and immediately gave up caffeine, soda, & alcohol. Started tracking and doing my pre-op diet. Fast forward to today...in exactly one week I will be at my one year "I'm going to do this" anniversary. As of yesterday I have lost 99 pound! (Of course I am HOPING I will lose at least one more pound in the coming week so I lose 100 pounds in a year.) If someone would have told me that I could even be 50 pounds lighter in a year I would have been jumping up and down. 100 seems unbelievable. I have never experienced the "honeymoon" phase of WLS. I just went back to all my weight records and see that I am the consistent turtle--- trudging along. But I have consistently been losing about 8+ pounds a month. These sure do add up! I am 2/3rds of the way to my goal. I feel fantastic now and everyone tells me how fantastic I look- who am I to argue with them???? Thank you for being a part of my journey. I don't really understand what "clicked" this time but am so glad it did and so glad I have the opportunity to share this with each of you.

That is such an inspiring story!! Happy for you!

  6. I use 2..

Withings because it's a watch too and I like being able to look at my wrist without pressing a button to see the the time. I also have their scale that automatically syncs to the app on my phone.

Polar - because I have the HR monitor too and I feel it more accurately displays my calories burned because it keeps track of my HR during my exercising

  7. Speaking of extra skin. Has anyone given any thought to plastic surgery later on. I know I am. I had a full Tummy Tuck when I lost weight with the lap band. Loved it. Now when I get down to where I want to be I will do my thighs, arms and a breast lift. I know it doesn't bother some people. I didn't think it would me but I was so wrong. It bothers me just as bad as be I lost weight. My insurance covered all of my tummy tuck, minus my deductible. They will cover the rest as well. What are you all thinking.

I have lunch lady arms, I'm definitely going to get them cut off!!! along with a tell me tuck and a boob lift.

  8. 3 month visit went well. I'm solidly in onederland, even with the doctors scale that's always about 6lbs heavier than my home scale. All my follow up bloodwork was amazingly improved on everything they measured. My doctor couldn't stop grinning. Feeling amazing

@@catlynk Let us know how it went!

I had set a goal to be 229 on the doctor's scale but missed it by 2 pounds. Overall I've lost 35 pounds since surgery so I'm happy with that.

My new goal is to be below 215 by spring break when I go to Hawaii????
